(she/her)
It takes a lot of courage to begin therapy. Thank you for visiting my profile as you begin or resume your healing journey. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and am passionate about helping others take courageous steps to process life’s losses, uncertainties and struggles. Depression, anxiety and trauma doesn’t have to define you, the quality of your relationships or future. I’m here to offer you a safe, inclusive and respectful place of support and encouragement in your path forward. It's my goal within each session to help support my clients in not only navigating painful situations and help make the unbearable more bearable, but also to help lighten their load while building their tool kit for coping and thriving.
During our first session, I'll begin to learn more about you, your experiences, your needs and how I can best support you. We'll talk about a variety of topics such as: - your interest in pursuing therapy - how your current stressors impact your life and relationships - how long you have been struggling - what has helped or hindered your growth - what your family history has been like - what life events that have been hard to move through - your history with reaching out for help - anything else that you feel is helpful for me to know!
I'm a strength-based, client-centered clinician that is dedicated to helping you process and heal.
I love helping clients grow in new ways, make meaningful connections and help build the life they want for themselves. My clients have courageously decided that they are ready to do the work needed to help free themselves of what has long since weighed them down.
Brainspotting is a strength based, client-centered therapeutic modality that supports clients in processing a variety of experiences and emotions connected to trauma, anxiety and depression. Brainspotting can also be used to help clients struggling with performance anxiety. I'm proud to be a certified Brainspotting therapist.
I have advanced training in DBT and am currently working toward certification in this modality. DBT can be used to help clients experiencing depression, anxiety, shame, trauma related symptoms, anger, interpersonal problems, and other life transitions.
I meet clients where they are at and draw from the tools and therapeutic techniques that I think will best support them in the moment and help them in their healing journey.
