LMFT, 4 years of experience
Sometimes the stress, expectations, and curveballs of family, work, and relationships leave us feeling stuck. Whether it’s the constant buzz of anxiety, the weight of depression, the overwhelm of juggling too many roles, the challenges of ADHD, or the echoes of past trauma, it can feel exhausting to keep going without real support. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe growth happens in the context of authentic connection. I’m not a “smile and nod” or “how does that make you feel?” type of therapist. I bring my genuine self into sessions—listening deeply, being present with you, and offering honest reflection. My role isn’t to sit back passively, but to collaborate with you, gently challenge when needed, and provide tools that actually work in your everyday life.
Together we will create a treatment plan that is customized to your symptoms, needs and goals. I take a collaborative, holistic, inclusive and proactive approach to therapy that combines many modalities to meet you where you are at in your therapeutic journey. Finding the right fit is important so I encourage you to reach out so that we can get to know each other!
I believe that therapy is about creating new patterns in our brains, forming insight, building connections, learning to trust ourselves and accruing skills to move toward a new way of being. I am trained in Exposure Response Prevention Therapy which is the gold standard treatment method for individuals with OCD and rumination based anxiety. Connection is key and I prioritize the therapeutic relationship above all else!
I draw from evidence-based modalities like CBT, ERP and trauma-informed practices, but I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether we’re working on communication patterns in your relationship, building coping skills for anxiety or ADHD, or untangling the impact of trauma, I tailor our work to fit your unique goals.
I utilize CBT to assist clients to manage their mental and emotional health by changing the way they think and behave.
I utilize compassion focused treatment to reduce distress and increase well-being by developing compassion skills.
I utilize humanistic techniques to assist clients in utilizing their unique potential and abilities to help them overcome difficulties.
I utilize strength based therapy techniques to help clients focus on their internal strengths and resourcefulness, rather than on their weaknesses, failures and shortcomings.
I utilize trauma informed care to improve the well-being of clients who have experienced trauma through understanding their life experiences, creating a safe and supportive environment, tailoring approaches to be sensitive and empathic and supporting client's sense of control and empowerment.
