I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist who is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and find healing. With a warm, nonjudgmental approach, I create a safe space where clients can feel heard, supported, and empowered to make lasting change. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time outdoors, where I find peace and inspiration. I believe in the power of connection—whether it's within relationships or with the natural world—and strive to bring that same sense of balance and understanding to my work with clients.
In the first session, clients can expect a relaxed and supportive environment where I’ll focus on getting to know them, listening to their unique experiences, and understanding their goals for therapy. We’ll have a conversation about what brought them in and explore any concerns they may have. To gain a deeper understanding of where they are emotionally and mentally, I’ll introduce some questionnaires, but there’s no pressure or intense focus in this initial meeting. We’ll discuss how we can structure our sessions moving forward, whether that’s on a weekly or biweekly basis, and outline a plan for our work together. By the end of our time together, my goal is for clients to feel heard, supported, and empowered to continue their journey toward growth and healing
One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my deep empathy and understanding, shaped by my own personal experiences with life, trauma, and going to therapy my own self. Having navigated my own healing journey, I bring a sense of compassion and relatability that helps clients feel safe and understood. I have worked with a diverse range of clients, from individuals and couples to families, across various age groups and backgrounds, allowing me to adapt my approach to meet the unique needs of each person I work with. My commitment to continuous learning ensures I stay current with therapeutic practices, including CBT, DBT, MI, and ACT, so I can offer the most effective support. Above all, I am passionate about fostering a strong therapeutic alliance, guiding clients toward lasting transformation with kindness, patience, and unwavering support.
I am best positioned to serve individuals and couples who are seeking meaningful change and growth in their lives. My work is particularly well-suited for clients struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, or life transitions. I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients identify negative thought patterns, build healthier coping skills, and align their actions with their values. Whether working one-on-one or with couples, I provide a supportive, collaborative space where clients can gain insight, develop resilience, and create lasting, positive change.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and unhelpful behaviors. Through a collaborative process, we work together to develop practical strategies for shifting those thoughts and adopting healthier coping mechanisms. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, stress, or other challenges, CBT is tailored to each individual’s needs to promote lasting change and emotional well-being. I guide clients in gaining insight, building resilience, and improving overall mental health.
I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build skills in four key areas: mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Through both individual therapy and skill-building sessions, we work on enhancing emotional awareness and creating healthier responses to life's challenges. DBT is especially effective for clients dealing with intense emotions, self-destructive behaviors, or relationship difficulties. My goal is to help clients find balance, improve coping strategies, and foster more fulfilling lives.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop greater psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult emotions and thoughts without letting them dictate behavior. Together, we focus on identifying core values and aligning actions with those values, even in the presence of discomfort. ACT emphasizes mindfulness, self-compassion, and taking committed steps toward meaningful goals. This approach is particularly effective for clients seeking to overcome avoidance, increase resilience, and create a more purposeful, fulfilling life.
As a couples therapist, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help partners improve communication, emotional connection, and problem-solving skills. CBT helps couples identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that may be causing conflict, while DBT focuses on enhancing emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness for healthier interactions. ACT encourages couples to align their actions with shared values, fostering greater acceptance and deeper intimacy. Together, these approaches empower couples to navigate challenges, strengthen their bond, and create a more fulfilling partnership.
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore and resolve ambivalence about making changes in their lives. This client-centered, collaborative approach focuses on enhancing motivation and commitment to change by exploring values, goals, and the reasons behind a desire for transformation. Through empathetic listening and reflective questioning, we work together to uncover and strengthen the client’s intrinsic motivation. MI is particularly effective for clients struggling with behavioral changes, such as addiction, weight loss, or managing chronic conditions, empowering them to move forward with confidence and clarity.
