LMHC, 23 years of experience

Hello, I’m Tynisha, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and I’m truly honored you’re considering taking this step. If you’ve been carrying anxiety, sadness, trauma, or the weight of feeling misunderstood, you don’t have to navigate it alone. My passion is creating a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where you can process what you’ve been through, build resilience, and rediscover your strength. Together, we’ll work toward healing, clarity, and the peace you deserve. Supporting you on your journey to your personal “Pathway to Peace” is both my purpose and privilege.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session will begin with a warm welcome and brief introductions so we can start building a comfortable connection. We’ll spend time exploring what’s bringing you to therapy and the challenges you’ve been facing. This conversation allows me to better understand your needs and goals so we can create a personalized plan to support your healing and growth in future sessions.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

My approach for therapy is integrative in which we explore your mental, physical and emotional being. I am knowledgeable in CBT, DBT informed, Trauma informed, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing. The treatment method will be tailored to each client's uniqueness. Together, we will explore what brings you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate way to help you make progress and bring balance to your life.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With over 20 years of professional experience, I bring depth, insight, and compassion to the work I do with adolescents, teens, and adults. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, work/life balance challenges, impulse control concerns, and behavioral changes. What truly sets my approach apart is my ability to meet you where you are while providing practical tools, emotional support, and a safe space for meaningful growth. If you’re ready to move from surviving to thriving, I’m here to help you create greater peace, balance, and fulfillment in your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve pre-teens, teens, and adults ages 12–64 who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, or difficulties with boundaries and self-esteem. Many of my clients are individuals who feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, misunderstood, or stuck, and are seeking meaningful change. I work well with those who are ready for growth, even if they feel uncertain or afraid and who desire greater peace, clarity, confidence, and emotional balance. If you’re open to doing the work and committed to your healing journey, I’m here to walk alongside you.
