Hello. My name is Tynisha and I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I know it can be difficult to decide to start therapy, and I’m honored that you’ve taken the first step. I also know it's difficult to feel like no one understands you. Having to face feelings of being overwhelmed, constant worrying, sadness and the pain of brokenness can leave you with a heavy heart. This is your sign that you’re ready to move from the agony and pain to healing. It’s your time now, for peace and relief! Life stressors that result in anxiety, depression, brokenness, low self-esteem, behavior problems and traumatic experiences can be difficult to deal with by yourself. Together, we will journey on your path to victory! I will support and encourage you which is a game changer in discovering your "Pathway to Peace." Driven by passion, my purpose is to meet you where you are while providing a warm, safe and nonjudgmental space to identify, process and empower you while on your journey to healing. One of my favorite quotes is "At the end of the day people won't remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel."- Maya Angelou-

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The initial session will compromise of a warm greeting and brief introductions, then gather information about the challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My approach for therapy is integrative in which we explore your mental, physical and emotional being. I am knowledgeable in CBT, DBT informed, Trauma informed, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing. The treatment method will be tailored to each client's uniqueness. Together, we will explore what brings you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate way to help you make progress and bring balance to your life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having over 19 years of professional experience allows me to better serve adolescents, teens and adults who may struggle with emotional stressors, anxiety, depression, adjustments, trauma, work/life balance concerns, impulse control disorders, and behavior modifications. If this is you, then I'm here to help you get peace and balance so you may live your best life.
