Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will complete a comprehensive evaluation to better understand your concerns, symptoms, and goals for treatment. I will ask about your mental health history, current challenges, medical background, and any medications you may be taking. This session is also an opportunity for you to share what you’ve been experiencing and what you hope to improve. I aim to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where you feel heard and supported. By the end of the visit, we will discuss a personalized treatment plan, which may include medication management, practical coping strategies, and next steps. My goal is for you to leave the session with clarity, direction, and a plan to start feeling better.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to combine effective medication management with a supportive, practical approach to care. I focus on helping clients feel better in a realistic and timely way by creating clear, individualized treatment plans. I am known for being attentive, easy to talk to, and thorough in my evaluations, ensuring that each client feels heard and understood. I prioritize clear communication and collaboration so clients feel confident and involved in their care. My goal is to not only reduce symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and mood instability, but also to help clients regain a sense of control, stability, and overall well-being in their daily lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, or difficulty managing daily stress. I work best with clients who are open to treatment, whether that includes starting medication, adjusting current medications, or learning practical coping strategies. I am especially well-suited for clients who feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or are seeking better balance in their personal or professional lives. Many of my clients are motivated to feel better but may not know where to start, and I help guide them through that process in a structured and supportive way. My approach is a good fit for individuals who are looking for clear communication, collaborative care, and realistic, goal-oriented treatment. Whether you are new to mental health care or returning after some time, I aim to make the process straightforward, comfortable, and effective.

My treatment methods

Supportive

I utilize supportive therapy as a core component of my practice, particularly in conjunction with medication management. My approach focuses on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients feel heard, validated, and supported. Through supportive therapy, I help patients process stressors, improve coping skills, and strengthen emotional resilience. I provide guidance, reassurance, and practical strategies to manage symptoms related to anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. This method allows me to build strong therapeutic relationships while helping patients maintain stability and function in their daily lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques into my practice to help patients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. I work with patients to recognize negative thinking, develop healthier perspectives, and implement practical coping strategies. CBT is especially effective for conditions such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, and I use it alongside medication management to support symptom improvement and long-term stability. My goal is to provide patients with tools they can apply in their daily lives to better manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I incorporate Solution-Focused Therapy into my practice to help patients identify their strengths and focus on practical steps toward achieving their goals. This approach emphasizes present concerns and future outcomes rather than dwelling on past difficulties. I work collaboratively with patients to develop realistic, goal-oriented strategies that can be applied in their daily lives. By focusing on what is working and building on existing strengths, patients are able to make meaningful progress in managing symptoms related to anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. I often use this approach alongside medication management to support efficient, results-driven care and help patients experience improvement in a shorter period of time.
