I specialize in working with adults in transition — particularly those in teaching, caregiving, service, and helping professions who are managing relationships, parenting, health changes, and shifts in life or professional status (pregnancy, marriage, divorce, menopause, illness, and career transitions). My approach is trauma‑informed, culturally competent, and grounded in more than 30 years of clinical experience and study. I create a space for open, honest, and transparent reflection where we meet you where you are. I weave understanding of trauma, culture, wellness, and healing into our sessions and draw from a range of evidence‑based approaches: trauma‑specific interventions, cognitive behavioral therapy, marriage and family therapy (systems and narrative approaches), and psychoanalytic‑informed work. I also love working with couples in a new stage of their relationship (pre-marital, considering divorce, What to expect Early sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs. Many clients report gaining clarity about their priorities and goals and experiencing increased self‑acceptance and peace within the first few sessions. I am an active, engaged therapist: therapy is a place for insight and felt understanding, and healing continues as you live your life. I may recommend readings, reflections, or practical exercises to support progress between sessions. I attended seminary and, when invited, I welcome conversations that integrate faith into the therapeutic work.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will move at a pace that feels safe, intentional, and respectful of your experiences. I take time to get to know you—your story, strengths, cultural context, and what brings you to therapy—while also creating space for you to get a sense of who I am and how I work. Together, we will begin building a trusting relationship and collaboratively identify goals that feel meaningful and supportive of your healing, growth, and overall well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to meet clients with both depth and practicality. I create a trauma-informed and culturally responsive space that honors your experiences while also helping you build concrete tools for change. Clients often leave sessions with greater clarity, a stronger sense of self, and actionable strategies that support real, lasting transformation.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with individuals and couples who are navigating life transitions and are ready for growth and change. I have a special passion for supporting perinatal mental health and individuals healing from trauma who are seeking new tools and ways of understanding themselves. My work is grounded in evidence-based trauma approaches such as EMDR, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, TF-CBT, and CAMS, and I partner best with clients who are engaged and open to the idea that healing is an active process.
