Life can be difficult to navigate, especially in the workforce, which is why as a qualified vocational rehabilitation counselor and clinician, I am here to encourage and guide you along your occupational and educational journey. Whether you feel stuck in a dead end job, unqualified, burned out, or unaware how to move forward in your occupation, together we can develop the skills and tools needed to implement a healthier relationship with your career. I graduated from Clemson University and the University of Kentucky. I have a master's degree in social work, as well as a master's degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas and Florida, and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, my primary goal is to ensure you feel heard and validated as you navigate your academic and career aspirations. We will start by exploring the various factors that are currently influencing your career choices, and understanding why certain paths may or may not be working for you. This will help us identify any barriers or challenges you might be facing. Next, we’ll delve into your aspirations, interests, abilities, and values. This comprehensive review is crucial for us to gain a clear understanding of what drives you and where your strengths lie. By aligning these elements, we can create a tailored plan that addresses your unique needs and goals. Together, we will develop actionable steps and strategies to help you move forward confidently and effectively. My aim is to support you in achieving your career objectives and to ensure that you have a clear, practical path to follow.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

With Solution-Focused Therapy, we will concentrate on addressing your current concerns and envisioning a future where these issues have less impact on your life. Our focus will be on identifying practical steps and solutions that can help you move towards your goals and create positive change.

Narrative

In narrative therapy, we will engage in collaborative discussions to explore and reframe your life stories. Together, we will identify alternative narratives and develop strategies to align your life with the story you wish to embrace. This approach helps you create a more empowering and fulfilling narrative that reflects your true values and goals.
