Welcome and congratulations on taking your first step in making a positive change! My name is Ker Yang and I’m trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy. I am passionate about emotional work because it's helped my clients increase self-awareness and live a more honest life. Often, clients tell me they leave the sessions feeling a greater sense of clarity and lighter. Failing to acknowledge your feelings results in depression and/or anxiety. I also honor and integrate spirituality and faith when it’s meaningful to you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first 1–2 sessions, we’ll begin with an assessment phase. During this time, I’ll gather information about your history, current concerns, and overall goals to gain a deeper understanding of your situation. Together, we’ll collaborate on a treatment plan that feels aligned and manageable for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is humanistic and collaborative. I connect with you on a genuine, human level offering honest, compassionate feedback and thoughtful guidance. You can expect empathy, evocative questions, meaningful reflections, validation, and a gentle deepening of your emotional experience.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adult clients (21 and older) who are navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, repeated unhealthy relationship patterns, low self-esteem, and unresolved trauma whether emotional, physical, or sexual. Many of my clients come to me during times of transition, such as a breakup, divorce, or identity crisis. Others struggle with impostor syndrome, overwhelming guilt or shame, intimacy issues (especially with men), or feeling like their emotions are "too much."

My treatment methods

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

A big part of my therapeutic process involves emotional processing, acknowledging your feelings and learning how to move through them with compassion. Why? Because acknowledging your feelings helps you gain clarity on your wants and needs and moves you in a direction that honors you.
