Hi, I’m Andrea Vega, and I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and life transitions. I work with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck in patterns of worry, or impacted by difficult past experiences. My approach is compassionate and trauma-informed, integrating evidence-based therapies such as EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy, along with cognitive and skills-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and ACT. Together, we focus on helping you understand patterns, process difficult experiences, regulate emotions, and build practical tools so you can feel more grounded, resilient, and confident in your daily life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Every person has a unique story, and I believe care should reflect that individuality. When we work together, we’ll approach this as a partnership, with your goals and needs guiding the process. My priority is to create a safe and respectful space where you feel heard and valued. Along the way, I’ll listen to your experiences, gently challenge you when needed, and provide the support you need to navigate your journey toward greater confidence and well-being. I will support you in creating a life that is fulfilling, purposeful, and balanced.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood and comfortable exploring difficult experiences. I use a trauma-informed approach that integrates evidence-based therapies, which allow me to tailor treatment to each client’s needs while helping them build practical tools for emotional regulation, resilience, and lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, trauma-related stress, grief, or major life transitions and are looking for support in understanding and healing from difficult experiences. Many of my clients want to better understand their emotional patterns, improve coping skills, and feel more grounded in their daily lives. I provide a supportive, trauma-informed space for clients who are ready to explore their experiences and develop practical tools for resilience and well-being.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a trauma-informed therapy that helps the brain process distressing memories and experiences. In my practice, I use EMDR to help clients reduce the emotional impact of past events, shift unhelpful beliefs, and develop a greater sense of safety and resilience.

Trauma Informed Care

I use trauma-informed and mind–body–based approaches to help clients understand how thoughts, emotions, and physical responses are connected. In my practice, I integrate techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and somatic-based trauma interventions, including approaches informed by EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy training. These methods help clients process difficult experiences, regulate their nervous system, and develop practical tools for daily life.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients understand how trauma can affect thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In my practice, I guide clients in developing coping skills, processing difficult experiences in a safe way, and building healthier thinking patterns to support healing and resilience.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and coping with stress. In my practice, I teach practical tools such as mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and communication skills to support greater stability and well-being.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts and emotions without feeling controlled by them. In my practice, I support clients in building psychological flexibility, learning mindfulness skills, and taking meaningful actions that align with their personal values.
