Marinna Bryant
I help women navigating postpartum anxiety and depression, pregnancy-related stress, reproductive loss, grief, trauma, and major life transitions feel more grounded and like themselves again. I offer a warm, person-centered, nonjudgmental space where clients can slow down, feel heard, and better understand their experiences. My approach combines CBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care with practical support tailored to each client’s needs.
First session
In your first session, you can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space to share what brought you to therapy and what you hope to work toward. We’ll talk about your current concerns, relevant background, and what support may be most helpful. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. My goal is for you to leave with a clearer understanding of where we can begin and a sense that we can work through it together, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Strengths
I bring warmth, empathy, and genuine curiosity into my sessions. I take time to understand the person behind the symptoms and create a space where clients can be honest without fear of judgment. My approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, while also incorporating practical tools from CBT and mindfulness to help clients understand themselves and navigate meaningful change.
Ideal clients
My ideal client may be navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, reproductive loss, pregnancy or postpartum changes, relationship challenges, or a significant life transition. They may feel overwhelmed, uncertain, disconnected from themselves, or simply recognize that something needs to change. They want a therapist who will listen without judgment, help them understand what they are experiencing, and work collaboratively toward their goals. Some clients may want practical tools and strategies, while others may need space to process and make sense of their experiences. I meet clients where they are and support them in developing greater self-awareness, confidence, coping skills, and a stronger sense of themselves.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, self-doubt, or feeling stuck, and explore more balanced and helpful ways of thinking and responding. I also incorporate practical strategies and skills that clients can use between sessions to support meaningful, lasting change.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered approach by creating a warm, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and accepted as they are. I believe you are the expert on your own experiences, and our work is collaborative rather than prescriptive. I focus on understanding your perspective, strengths, values, and goals while supporting you in developing greater self-awareness, confidence, and trust in yourself.
Narrative
I use Narrative Therapy to help clients explore the stories they have developed about themselves and their experiences. Together, we look at how past experiences, relationships, and expectations may have shaped those stories and identify patterns that no longer serve them. We work to separate the person from the problem and make space for strengths, values, and preferred ways of seeing themselves and their future.
