Hi, I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California. I graduated from the University of Redlands with a Masters in clinical mental health counseling. I have been in the field for 8 years and have worked with various age groups and settings from county mental health to private practice.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we go over brief introductions, then explore what brought you to therapy and some overview mental health history questions. We identify goals for therapy and to improve your life which will guide future therapy sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths in working with clients is (a) being an active listener and helping clients explore and challenge their current thought process to be a catalyst for change and (b) creating meaningful goals that can lead to measurable progress.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with young professionals who are just starting out in their careers as well as middle aged adults who are feeling stuck and looking for more in their lives. My clients often want to learn new skills, change their thought patterns and not feel stuck or unfulfilled anymore. Together we work to explore their emotions leaving them feeling anxious and overwhelmed and work to identify solutions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to assist clients in exploring their thought patterns and the impact it has on emotions. Together we explore the thought process and challenge thoughts and behaviors resulting in negative feelings.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I collaborate with my clients to create goals and identify the client's strengths to overcome problems or issues they are facing in their life.

Strength-Based

I assist clients in identifying their strengths and then explore ways the client can use those strengths to improve their life.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe a client has the ability to explore and gain insight into their thought processes and engage in active listening to assist the client in achieving personal growth.
