Life can feel overwhelming at times, especially when you’re trying to manage stress, anxiety, difficult relationships, emotional exhaustion, or major life changes while still keeping up with everyday responsibilities. I work with teens (13+) and adults who may feel stuck in unhealthy patterns, emotionally overwhelmed, self-critical, or unsure of how to move forward. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of experience working with teens, adults, and families in community mental health and telehealth settings. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship and family stress, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and grounded in helping clients better understand themselves while building practical tools that feel realistic and sustainable. I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and emotion-focused strategies while adapting therapy to each client’s individual needs and goals. As a bilingual therapist with experience working with individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds, I value creating a therapeutic space where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable showing up as themselves.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported, and understood. We’ll talk about what has been bringing you to therapy, what feels most challenging right now, and what you hope to gain from the process. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. I view therapy as a collaborative process, and I want sessions to feel like a space where you can be honest without fear of judgment. Together, we’ll begin identifying patterns, stressors, and goals while exploring practical ways to help you feel more grounded and supported moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is helping clients feel supported, understood, and comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment. Many of the people I work with feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in unhealthy patterns, highly self-critical, or exhausted from trying to manage everything on their own. While therapy can involve exploring difficult experiences and emotions, I also believe in helping clients develop practical tools, healthier coping strategies, and a better understanding of themselves. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and focused on helping clients build emotional awareness, improve resilience, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges and transitions. I have extensive experience working with teens, young adults, and adults struggling with anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, social stressors, relationship or family challenges, and feelings of emotional burnout. Clients often describe me as calm, approachable, supportive, and easy to talk to, while also helping them gently challenge patterns that may be keeping them stuck.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with teens (13+) and adults who are feeling emotionally overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in unhealthy patterns, or struggling to manage the pressures and stressors of daily life. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship or family stress, self-esteem challenges, emotional exhaustion, or major life transitions. I also have extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults experiencing school stress, social difficulties, family conflict, and significant life changes. I work well with clients who may appear to be functioning well on the outside while internally feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, self-critical, or disconnected from themselves and others. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping clients better understand themselves while developing practical tools that feel realistic and sustainable. I tailor therapy to each client’s individual needs and goals while creating a space where clients feel comfortable being honest and supported throughout the process. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, stress, emotional burnout, relationship challenges, personal growth, or navigating difficult life transitions, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, self-aware, and confident in your ability to move forward.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice, as it is an evidence-based approach that helps clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to their distress. In my practice, I integrate CBT with clients struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, and relational difficulties. I find it particularly effective in helping clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts and the impact these thoughts have on their emotions and actions.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients relate to their thoughts and emotions in a healthier way. Instead of getting stuck trying to flight or avoid difficulty feelings, we focus on building awareness, acceptance, and taking steps toward what truly matters to you.

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients process difficult or distressing experiences that may feel "stuck." This approach helps the brain reprocess memories in a way that reduced their emotional intensity, so they no longer feel as overwhelming. EMDR can support healing from past experiences while helping you feel more grounded and present in your daily life.
