(she/her)
Hello, I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) dedicated to helping individuals improve their mental health and overall well-being. I provide compassionate, evidence-based care that includes psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and supportive therapy for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders. My approach is collaborative and patient-centered, focusing on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where we can work together to develop a treatment plan that supports your goals and helps you feel your best.
During your first session, we will focus on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to seek care. I will ask questions about your current concerns, mental health history, medical history, lifestyle, and goals for treatment so we can develop a clear picture of your needs. We will discuss possible diagnoses, treatment options, and whether medication, therapy, or a combination of both may be helpful. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive space where you feel heard and we can begin developing a personalized plan to help you move toward improved mental health and well-being.
What stands out about my approach is my focus on collaborative, whole-person care. I combine medication management with evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns openly. My goal is not only symptom relief, but also helping clients build practical coping skills, improve resilience, and make meaningful, lasting changes in their daily lives.
I identify as
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational interviewing is a core approach I use to support clients who are struggling with ambivalence about change. Rather than directing or persuading clients, I focus on creating a collaborative and non-judgmental environment where they can explore their own motivations, values, and goals. I also incorporate core MI skills such as affirmations, summaries, and eliciting “change talk.” By highlighting a client’s strengths and reinforcing statements that support change, I help them build confidence in their ability to take meaningful steps forward.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my work with clients, I help them recognize the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through guided discussion and structured exercises, clients learn how negative or distorted thinking patterns can influence their emotions and actions. Once these patterns are identified, we work together to challenge and reframe unhelpful thoughts and replace them with more balanced and realistic perspectives.
