My name is Ana Ortiz, and I hold a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, earned in 2007. I have extensive experience working with individuals aged 18 and older. Since 2019, I have been providing services in Texas. I specialize in using evidence-based behavioral tools to address mental health challenges, empowering my patients to become mindful of how they nurture their minds. My goal is to inspire them to begin building a more fulfilling and joyful path in life. Additionally, I am fluent in Spanish and can provide services in both English and Spanish. Mi nombre es Ana Ortiz, y poseo un grado doctoral en Psicología Clínica, obtenido en el 2007. Tengo amplia experiencia trabajando con personas de 18 años en adelante. Desde el 2019, he estado brindando servicios en Texas. Me especializo en el uso de herramientas conductuales basadas en evidencia para abordar problemas de salud mental, ayudando a mis pacientes a ser conscientes de cómo nutren su mente. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is the most important part of the psychotherapy treatment, first its starts to build up the therapeutic alliance, second, I understand what is the motivation for the individual to reach out therapy, third I provide time to review bio-psycho-social information, fourth I made an clinical impression diagnosis and finally set to guides for treatment. I always like the quote that "with a on point diagnosis comes good guides to understand patient needs to develop an individualized treatment plan."

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a psychotherapist is to treat everybody with kindness, be an active listener and in every session I like to motivate individuals to "think about their thoughts more."

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Has been trained on behavioral techniques. Like to included the mindfulness component by acknowledging negative automatic thoughts then challenging them in order to promote change.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Challenging and understanding out thoughts on this behavioral technique is important to understand how we are feeding out brain.

Gottman method

When it comes to the best method to offer couples therapy will be following the teachings of John and July Gottman, by promoting in couples better communication patters by talking about their needs, offering examples and also not making assumptions.
