I believe healing is more than just feeling better, it’s about reclaiming your power, finding inner peace, and living authentically. As a licensed therapist, trauma-informed yoga teacher, corporate wellness consultant, and retreat facilitator, my purpose is to create transformative spaces where you can heal, grow, and thrive. Through Flourishing Minds LLC, I provide holistic therapy, mindfulness practices, and community-centered healing experiences that honor the full spectrum of your identity. My work is especially dedicated to supporting Black, queer, and marginalized individuals in breaking free from cycles of burnout, fear, and limitation.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your current challenges, review relevant personal and mental health history, and identify your goals for treatment. I'll also answer any questions you have about the therapy process and collaborate with you to create a plan that feels supportive and aligned with your needs. My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, trauma-informed, and holistic, creating a space where you can show up authentically. You don't need to have everything figured out before your first session, just come as you are. Together, we'll begin taking meaningful steps toward healing, growth, and lasting change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a compassionate, authentic, and collaborative approach to every session. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported without judgment. I integrate evidence-based practices with holistic techniques, recognizing the connection between the mind, body, and nervous system. Drawing from approaches such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, somatic interventions, and trauma-informed care, I tailor therapy to your unique needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I believe healing happens through genuine connection, curiosity, and practical tools that you can apply outside of our sessions. Together, we'll build on your strengths, increase self-awareness, and help you create lasting change while moving toward greater peace, authenticity, and emotional well-being.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is a high-functioning adult who appears to have it all together on the outside but feels overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected on the inside. They may be navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, or the effects of constantly putting others first. They are ready to move beyond survival mode, reconnect with their authentic selves, and prioritize their mental and emotional well-being. They value a holistic approach to healing and are open to integrating evidence-based therapy with mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and other mind-body practices. Most importantly, they are willing to do the work, embrace growth, and create lasting change toward a life rooted in peace, balance, and authenticity.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge beliefs that may be contributing to distress, and develop healthier, more balanced ways of thinking. CBT is practical and goal-oriented, providing tools you can use both in and outside of sessions to manage anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Rather than simply talking about problems, we work collaboratively to build new coping strategies, increase self-awareness, and create lasting changes that support your overall well-being. I tailor CBT techniques to each client's unique experiences and often integrate mindfulness and somatic practices to support healing of both the mind and body.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than trying to eliminate or avoid them. Together, we build psychological flexibility by practicing acceptance, mindfulness, and self-compassion while identifying the values that matter most to you. Instead of allowing fear, anxiety, or self-doubt to dictate your choices, ACT helps you take meaningful action aligned with your goals and values, even when discomfort is present. I integrate ACT with other evidence-based and holistic approaches to help you become more present, break free from unhelpful patterns, and create a life that feels authentic, purposeful, and emotionally fulfilling.

Brainspotting

I use Brainspotting to help clients process and heal from trauma, anxiety, and other emotionally distressing experiences that may be stored in the brain and body. This gentle, focused approach uses eye position to access deeper areas of the brain where unresolved experiences and emotions can be processed beyond traditional talk therapy. During a Brainspotting session, I guide you in identifying a "brainspot" while creating a safe, supportive environment that allows your nervous system to process at its own pace. Brainspotting can help reduce emotional distress, increase self-awareness, and promote lasting healing by addressing the root of experiences rather than just the symptoms. I integrate Brainspotting with trauma-informed care and other therapeutic approaches based on your individual needs and readiness.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I provide culturally sensitive therapy by recognizing that each client's identity, lived experiences, and cultural background shape how they experience the world and approach healing. I strive to create an affirming, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, respected, and understood. Together, we explore how culture, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, spirituality, family values, socioeconomic factors, and other aspects of identity may influence mental health, relationships, and overall well-being. I approach therapy with humility, curiosity, and openness, tailoring treatment to honor each client's unique experiences rather than making assumptions. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, validated, and supported while providing evidence-based, trauma-informed care that is both inclusive and culturally responsive.

Somatic

I use somatic therapy to help clients understand how stress, trauma, and emotions are experienced not only in the mind but also in the body. Together, we increase awareness of physical sensations, nervous system responses, and patterns of tension that may be connected to emotional experiences. Through techniques such as grounding, breathwork, mindfulness, gentle movement, and body awareness, I help clients regulate their nervous systems, process difficult emotions, and develop a greater sense of safety and connection with themselves. Somatic therapy complements traditional talk therapy by addressing the mind-body connection, allowing for deeper healing, increased resilience, and lasting emotional well-being. I tailor these techniques to each client's comfort level and therapeutic goals.
