Healing is a sacred journey of coming home—to your body, spirit, desires, and your most authentic self. As a psychotherapist, I hold space for deep transformation, guiding you toward self-acceptance, empowerment, and wholeness. My approach is trauma-informed, spiritually grounded, sex-positive, and rooted in cultural humility. I honor the richness and complexity of your lived experience, always recognizing the ways culture, identity, and systemic forces shape our stories. Healing is not about "fixing" yourself—it's about returning to the parts of you that have always been worthy, reclaiming your agency, and cultivating joy.
In our first session, you can expect a warm, grounded, and collaborative space where we take time to get to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy at your own pace, with no pressure to tell your whole story right away. Together, we’ll explore your hopes, concerns, and any questions you may have about the therapeutic process. I’ll also offer some reflections about how I work—integrating talk, body awareness, and creative approaches—and check in about what feels most supportive to you. Most importantly, the first session is about creating a sense of safety and connection, so you feel seen, respected, and in charge of your own healing journey.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the way I integrate trauma-informed care with culturally responsive, creative, and embodied methods. Rooted in creative arts therapy and grounded in liberation psychology, my work centers the whole person—their stories, identities, ancestral resilience, and lived experience. I support clients in not just talking through their challenges, but also reconnecting with their bodies, creativity, and inner wisdom as part of the healing process. My clients often share that they feel deeply seen, affirmed, and empowered in our work together, and that therapy with me helps them move beyond coping into transformation—reclaiming parts of themselves that have long been silenced or fragmented.
I welcome individuals who are navigating the layered impacts of trauma, cultural identity, and systemic oppression—often carrying the weight of intergenerational wounds, marginalization, or experiences of disconnection. Many of my clients are queer, trans, BIPOC, or part of diasporic communities seeking a space where they don’t have to explain the nuances of who they are. You might come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or yearning to reconnect with parts of yourself that feel lost or silenced. Whether you're exploring boundaries, healing from harm, managing anxiety or grief, or simply wanting to feel more whole and grounded, I tend to be reflective, curious, and ready to begin the messy, beautiful work of healing. Together, we co-create a space that honors your wisdom, centers your agency, and invites creativity and embodied presence into the process.
Trauma Informed Care
My practice is grounded in Trauma-Informed Care (TIC)—an approach that recognizes the widespread impact of trauma and understands how it shapes a person’s nervous system, relationships, and sense of self. This means I prioritize safety, choice, collaboration, empowerment, and cultural humility in every aspect of the therapeutic relationship. Whether we’re unpacking personal experiences or systemic harm, I hold space with deep respect for your story and survival.
Strength-Based
I approach therapy from a strength-based lens, which means I focus on identifying and building upon the resilience, creativity, cultural knowledge, and inner resources my clients already possess. Rather than pathologizing distress, I help clients recognize their existing capacities for healing and transformation—even when those strengths may feel buried by trauma or systemic oppression. This approach fosters empowerment, agency, and a renewed sense of self-trust as we work collaboratively toward growth and integration.
Integrative
My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from multiple therapeutic modalities to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, identities, and goals. I weave together trauma-informed care, strength-based practices, drama therapy, somatic awareness, and relational psychodynamic work to create a flexible, holistic process. This allows us to work creatively and collaboratively—honoring the complexity of your experiences while supporting healing on emotional, physical, and narrative levels.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
As a culturally responsive therapist, I honor the ways that culture, identity, and systemic oppression shape each person’s lived experience and mental health. I approach therapy with cultural humility—recognizing that healing cannot be separated from the social, historical, and intergenerational contexts clients carry. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen in the fullness of their identities, and where their values, language, and community knowledge are respected and integrated into the therapeutic process. My work centers the voices of BIPOC, LGBTQ+, immigrant, and marginalized communities with deep care and accountability.
Somatic
I incorporate somatic therapy to support clients in reconnecting with the wisdom of the body as an essential part of healing. Trauma often lives in the nervous system and shows up through sensations, tension, or disconnection—sometimes even when we can’t find the words. Through gentle body-based practices such as grounding, breathwork, movement, and mindful awareness, I help clients tune into their internal signals, process stored experiences, and build greater capacity for regulation and presence. This work honors the body not just as a site of pain, but as a powerful source of insight, resilience, and restoration.
