New to Grow
I am a NY based LCSW with 20 years experience working in a variety of setting including schools, community mental health centers, and outpatient private practice I graduated with my Master's in Social Work for New York University. I am a holisitic provider, and take elements of various approaches and will design our sessions to be a unique fit for your own needs.
Our first session will be calm and relaxed so you can get comfortable and proceed at your own pace. We will talk a little about what brought you to therapy and how I can best serve you. The goal will be for you to get acclimated and together we will decide what is the best path forward for you.
My clients feel connected, understood and supported. I am warm and relatable while also having a wide expanse of knowledge and experience. Most who choose to work with me, continue on as they feel the benefit of the connection even when the impending issue is resolved. I offer practical solutions and highlight your own strengths.
With 20 years of experience, I work best with individuals who are used to holding things together for everyone else—but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or quietly depleted themselves. I have particular experience supporting parents, including those navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and the emotional and identity shifts that come with this stage of life. Many of my clients are balancing family demands while trying to care for themselves, often managing anxiety, stress, or major life transitions. They’re often looking for more than just a place to vent—they want practical ways to feel better and function differently in their day-to-day lives. My approach is collaborative and structured. I integrate CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based strategies to help you better understand your patterns, regulate stress, and make changes that actually last outside of sessions. Sessions are a space to both decompress and leave with clear, usable tools—so you’re not just talking, but actively moving forward in a way that fits your life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have been using CBT in clinical practice for several years to help clients recognize how the thought patterns are triggered by strong emotions. We work with the named emotions to address the feeling and change the thought/behavior. This is effect for clients in all circumstances and ages.
Attachment-based
Looking at the patterns of relationships as well as the discomfort in conflict, we work to acknowledge detachment/avoidance or anxious attachment to form stronger and more secure connections. We look at the effect of early formed relationships on present connections and how clients can grow healthier relationships.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Using concrete distress tolerance skills, mindfulness and communication skills, I will give client concrete and practical skills that they can take from sessions and practice to get through challenging emotions and situations.
Grief Therapy
The top rule of grief is to not grieve alone and I will support clients in their complex feelings of loss. I will normalize the grief process as not pathological but a process of human emotions. but as a reaction to the connection
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Using a holistic approach to how the mind and body are connected, we will integrate grounding, breathwork and awareness into our sessions and strategies. I lead short mediations and progressive muscle relaxation to bring awareness to the clients' experience.
