Welcome! Being vulnerable and open to change is not easy, but you are in the right place. My name is Bianca Jamerson (she/her/hers) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As LCSW, I am highly attuned to how each client's role in their unique environment impacts their everyday life. With this framework, and a touch of humor, I provide a safe and culturally humble space for my clients to explore and process the issues that prompted them to seek therapy. In the therapeutic space, we will use the strengths that you already possess to navigate problems and achieve your personal goals. I look forward to working and developing an authentic relationship with you to address the underlying cause of your challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I am looking to learn all about you! You can expect for me to ask questions about you, your personal history, and what has led you to seek therapeutic support at this time in your life. After learning more about you, together we will create your goals for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, I prioritize building strong rapport and developing trust with all of my clients. I truly feel that once trust and rapport are established, therapeutic interventions are more sustainable!

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have absolutely love working with transitional aged youth (16-21) and adults!

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have experience utilizing CBT with clients who are experiencing mild- severe anxiety. In my practice, I use CBT to provide clients with psycho-education about their anxiety and tools to help them cope with their anxiety. While working with clients, CBT is helpful to identify cognitive distortions and challenge them to ultimately improve mood. Additionally, I use CBT in my practice to support clients in identifying and challenging their negative core beliefs about themselves.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have experience utilizing DBT with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and difficulty regulating emotions. In my practice, I teach clients various DBT tools to support them in coping with difficult emotions, accepting difficult feelings, and controlling impulses.
