Hello, I am Dr. Warrick Stewart, and I am a Board Certified Psychotherapist and I am primarily licensed to practice in GA, SC, KY, and NC. As a compassionate and dedicated therapist, I specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate the challenges of trauma, emotional distress, and self-doubt. I work with clients from diverse backgrounds, including those struggling with anger, substance abuse, and chronic depression. I will guide you in understanding your thoughts and behaviors through evidence-based approaches like reality-based and solution-focused therapy. I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where you can confront your fears, process your experiences, and ultimately reclaim your life. Together, your life will never be the same again. Clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they feel safe to share their experiences. I am eclectic, so I use many techniques to help my clients get the most out of therapy and return to an active and productive life. Expect me to be thorough but kind, authentic, and compassionate. My clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they feel safe being themselves and confronting what has caused them discomfort. My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-focused therapy has been an effective approach in my practice because it focuses on my client's strengths and desired future state, encouraging them to identify solutions and build upon existing positive aspects of their life rather than dwelling on problems, leading to a more empowered and proactive approach to change, often with quicker results compared to traditional therapies that delve deeply into past issues. I have found this therapy to be effective and sustainable when my clients present ready to do the work.

Reality Therapy

Reality-based therapy has been very effective in my practice because it focuses on empowering individuals to take responsibility for their own choices and behaviors in the present moment, enabling them to actively create positive changes in their lives by setting clear goals and action plans to fulfill their needs, rather than dwelling on past experiences or analyzing underlying causes of their problems. I believe the key here is willingness and openmindness to explore the positive change my client desires for themself and executing on an execution plan. Either way, it takes work, and my most willing clients get the best results.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, CBT is the gold standard. it helps my clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, replacing them with more realistic and positive ones, thereby directly impacting their emotions and behaviors, allowing them to manage difficult situations more effectively and improve their overall well-being. Regardless of the complexity, CBT is always a go-to.

Couples Counseling

I love couple's work and have spent a considerable amount of time working with couples by providing a safe and neutral space for partners to openly discuss issues, improve communication skills, understand each other's perspectives, and develop strategies to navigate challenges together, ultimately aiming to strengthen their relationship and reduce relationship distress by addressing problems at the core of the partnership
