Hello, I’m Dr. Warrick Stewart. I am a Board-Certified Psychotherapist, licensed to practice in Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, and North Carolina. At the heart of my work is a deep compassion for people who are navigating life’s hardest seasons. I specialize in helping individuals and couples facing trauma, emotional pain, self-doubt, and the struggles that come with anger, substance use, and depression. My role is to walk alongside you, offering evidence-based approaches such as reality-based and solution-focused therapy, while always tailoring our work to meet your unique needs. In my practice, clients find a warm, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment where they are safe to be themselves. Here, you can speak your truth, confront what has been holding you back, and begin the process of healing. I am eclectic in my methods—drawing from a variety of therapeutic techniques—because I believe every person deserves an approach as unique as their story. I strive to be thorough but kind, authentic yet gentle, and always deeply respectful of the courage it takes to begin therapy. My goal is to help you process your experiences, rediscover your strengths, and move forward toward a life filled with meaning and possibility. Healing takes willingness and effort, but you don’t have to walk the journey alone. Together, we can create a path toward growth, resilience, and lasting change. Let’s get started today.
Clients can expect a warm, welcoming space where it’s safe to be honest and heard. I’m eclectic in my approach—drawing from reality-based, solution-focused, and other evidence-based methods—so we’ll tailor the work to what fits you best. In our first meeting, I’ll be thorough but kind, authentic, and genuinely compassionate. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what you’ve tried, what’s working, and what you hope will change. You set the pace; there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. Together, we’ll define clear goals and agree on next steps so you leave with a sense of direction, not more questions. You’ve already done the hardest part by reaching out—let’s take the next step together.
I’m not just a good listener—I’m an active partner in your healing. While you’ll always be met with empathy and understanding, I will also challenge you in ways that help you grow. Our sessions are never one-sided or passive. Instead, they’re conversations where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward. I blend an empathetic, authentic, and authoritative presence with evidence-based methods like reality-based and solution-focused therapy. This combination helps you feel safe enough to be vulnerable, but also confident that you’re working with someone who will hold you accountable and keep you on track toward your goals. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I’m understanding yet direct. I’ll validate your experience while also helping you uncover blind spots and break unhelpful patterns. My aim isn’t just to comfort you in the moment—it’s to equip you with insight, tools, and skills that lead to lasting change. Because our work is collaborative, you’ll leave sessions with clarity, a plan, and practical steps—not just talk. Over time, you’ll notice yourself becoming more self-aware, more resilient, and more in control of your life.
As a compassionate and dedicated therapist, I specialize in helping individuals and couples work through the challenges of trauma, emotional distress, and self-doubt. My clients come from diverse backgrounds, including those navigating struggles with anger, substance use, and chronic depression. I use evidence-based approaches such as reality-based and solution-focused therapy to guide you in better understanding your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel empowered to confront fears, process experiences, and move toward meaningful change. Together, we will build practical tools and strategies that allow you to reclaim your life, restore balance, and discover new possibilities for growth. Change is never easy, but you don’t have to do it alone. With guidance, encouragement, and honest support, your life can be transformed—and it will never be the same again.
Solution-focused therapy has been an effective approach in my practice because it focuses on my client's strengths and desired future state, encouraging them to identify solutions and build upon existing positive aspects of their life rather than dwelling on problems, leading to a more empowered and proactive approach to change, often with quicker results compared to traditional therapies that delve deeply into past issues. I have found this therapy to be effective and sustainable when my clients present ready to do the work.
Reality-based therapy has been very effective in my practice because it focuses on empowering individuals to take responsibility for their own choices and behaviors in the present moment, enabling them to actively create positive changes in their lives by setting clear goals and action plans to fulfill their needs, rather than dwelling on past experiences or analyzing underlying causes of their problems. I believe the key here is willingness and openmindness to explore the positive change my client desires for themself and executing on an execution plan. Either way, it takes work, and my most willing clients get the best results.
In my practice, CBT is the gold standard. it helps my clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, replacing them with more realistic and positive ones, thereby directly impacting their emotions and behaviors, allowing them to manage difficult situations more effectively and improve their overall well-being. Regardless of the complexity, CBT is always a go-to.
I love couple's work and have spent a considerable amount of time working with couples by providing a safe and neutral space for partners to openly discuss issues, improve communication skills, understand each other's perspectives, and develop strategies to navigate challenges together, ultimately aiming to strengthen their relationship and reduce relationship distress by addressing problems at the core of the partnership
