Asha Henson, LICSW, LCSW-C is a compassionate and empathetic Transpersonal Therapist with a deep-rooted passion for helping individuals embrace their inner potential and find purpose in their lives. Asha implements an integrative approach that seamlessly combines metaphysics and clinical interventions, providing a holistic healing experience for clients. I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Spelman College and a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland-Baltimore, specializing in mental and behavioral health. While pursuing my master's, I engaged in a personal study focused on the intersection of consciousness, self-awareness, and spirituality. My academic journey sparked an intense interest in the vast realms of metaphysical and spiritual practices, which I continue to explore extensively.
In our first session, we will focus on rapport building and identifying your goals. If time allows, we will also review your birth, human design and gene key charts to explore language and tools that can further support you throughout this journey.
Driven by the belief that each individual possesses the innate capacity for growth and healing, I embrace the diversity of the human experience. I see my role as a guide, supporting my clients in unlocking their potential and tapping into the wellspring of wisdom that lies within them. Through this journey of self-discovery and spiritual exploration, I hope to facilitate profound transformations, leading to a more fulfilling and authentic life.
As a compassionate and empathetic therapist with a deep-rooted passion for helping individuals, I will embrace your inner potential as I support you on your journey to find purpose in your life. With a profound belief in the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, I seamlessly integrate metaphysics and spirituality with evidence-based strategies, providing a holistic healing experience for my clients. Whether you are looking to dive into your shadow or simply have a space to vent, I'm here to help. Together, we will explore, understand, and transform your relationship with yourself so that you can begin living a life of unconditional self-love.
My practice emphasizes fostering a safe and non-judgmental space, where individuals can explore their inner selves, confront past traumas, and find healing through self-awareness and self-compassion.
With over a decade of mental health experience, my work began with trauma informed care. As a social worker I have worked in a multitude of settings that required training and implementation of trauma centerd work with adults, children and families alike. Currenlty I am being certified in Somatic Experiencing which explores trauma from a somatic or body and nervous system approach. My trauma framework centers around traumas specific to living in a western context and the impact it has on indivduals overall self concept as well as the ancestral/generational impacts of these experiences.
Throughout my practice, I integrate various modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Existential Therapy, and Transpersonal Psychology. My interventions aim to empower clients to overcome challenges, gain clarity, and cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness and spiritual connection.
