I’ve spent the last decade as a therapist. Whether you’re navigating OCD, maternal mental health, a late Autism diagnosis, depression, or anxiety, I’m here to walk through it with you. I use proven techniques like ERP or ICBT for OCD, and incorporate tools from DBT and ACT. But everything we do is tailored to what you actually need as a unique person. Since graduating from UGA in 2011, I’ve worked in the NICU, children’s hospitals, and hospice care. My clients have always shown resiliency and it's an honor to be included in their transformation. When I’m not in "therapist mode", you'll usually find me deep into a podcast, cheering on Atlanta United, or chasing Pickles the Pug (who is known to make the occasional guest appearance!).

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session can be daunting, so I hope to make you as comfortable as possible. I don't want to focus solely on your mental health concerns, but I also want to learn about who you are as a person! I will ask a lot of questions about your background. There is no pressure to answer something you don't want to. All of my questions are really aimed to get to know you. By the end of the session, I will have a better understanding of what your goals are, and we can collaborate on a plan that serves you best!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Over the years, my clients have told me that I don't have a "therapist" personality. I think this means that I show emotion, give feedback, and have humor. I think this is important. While you are sharing things that are deep and personal, you can be confident that I am being real and honest with you. That being said, therapy is always about you! As a result, most of my clients feel well supported and see improvement in their mood and ability to manage their stressors.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Many of the clients I serve want to be able to talk about their day-to-day stressors with someone who they can trust. They find it easier to open up to someone who is supportive but can also provide hands-on coping skills or guidance. This approach is very helpful to my clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, perinatal mental health, neurodivergence, peer or relationship issues, work stressors, etc. My clients who are navigating OCD appreciate a non-judgmental and affirming approach that incorporates more structure to effectively resolve symptoms.

My treatment methods

Faith based therapy

I utilize faith based therapy if you desire to incorporate your faith into your treatment. Faith based therapy is helpful when integrating your values with your goals. I only use this type of therapy if you show interest. It will not be forced on you.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behavior.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help you learn how to regulate your emotions and tolerate stressful situations. This is also helpful in understanding how to effectively communicate with others.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I utilize Exposure Response Prevention to treat OCD. This is a protocol based treatment that is very effective, but different than traditional talk therapy. Another evidence-based OCD treatment I utilize is ICBT (Inference Based CBT).
