I am an LCSW, Columbia university graduate. I discovered the field of social through my sister's chronic illness as a child. The hospital social worker who worked with my sister and family opened my eyes to the compassion that is needed in caring for and connecting to families undergoing unanticipated difficulties. From a young age, I knew I wanted to help others with processing difficult life experiences.
Clients will leave sessions with me feeling empowered, due to spending the time to identify their strengths. I assign realistic interventions to implement after sessions, which assist in integrating the change that the client hopes to see.
As a provider, I am best at supporting clients in learning to self-motivate, which helps clients to progress towards identified goals, work through traumas, and connect to coping mechanisms that are helpful and long term.
In providing care my clients come to learn that I offer support to them throughout their life challenges and experiences. I am a therapist who looks for your strengths and brings them to your attention while helping identify areas that would benefit from change.
