What are you hoping to experience more of in your life? Let's connect and talk about how to make that happen! I’m excited to collaborate with you in working toward increasing sexual safety, wellness, and pleasure in your life. I'd love to work together to figure out what you’re already doing that’s working for you and develop a plan to build on your current strengths and supports to help you move toward the sexual life and relationships you want. Most of us have been taught not to talk about sex and our bodies, and many of us have been taught to be ashamed of our bodies and what we think about, fantasize about, and do sexually. I believe that everyone is a sexual being and that sexual expression is a healthy part of all of our lives. Sometimes all we need is for someone to hold a safe space for us while we explore and process. Sometimes what we need is specific education, skills, and the support to develop them. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist with over 20 years of experience in the field of sexual wellness, my goal isn’t to tell you where you should go, what you should do, or how you should be, but to help you move in the direction of the life you want, wherever that might take you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other and see if we're a good fit to work together. We will explore your concerns and your goals in more detail, including what you've already tried and what you are doing that is working. You'll have plenty of time to ask me questions to help you decide if I'm the right fit for you. I'll be curious to hear what you are looking for in a therapist and what does and does not work for you in therapy. If we decide we'd like to work together, we may start crafting some ideas about how specifically we're going to get started working on your goals. If you are a homework person, you'll likely leave with a homework assignment to work on between sessions. I love sharing resources, so if you are open to that, I'll likely recommend a book, podcast, or website.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a curious, open-minded, lifelong learner, and I am always learning and growing through education, training, reading, volunteering, building relationships, and seeking out new experiences. I am always seeking more skills and working to broaden my perspectives to give you the best and most customized therapy experience possible. There is so much to learn, and I am looking forward to learning and growing with you. I believe that all human beings deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, no exceptions. Whatever you're carrying around that you are afraid makes you weird, different, unlovable, that you feel shame about, that you are afraid people will reject you for, I welcome those parts of you to our work together. You are safe in your time with me. Those parts of you are safe, respected, and valued in our work together. Want to learn more about me? Visit me at https://www.sexualwellnesspa.com/! My treatment methods

Eclectic

I enjoy continually learning new approaches so that I can create a custom experience for each person I collaborate with. In our work together I will pull from a variety of ideas and approaches to craft a therapy experience that fits for YOU, in collaboration with you. No cookie cutter, manualized treatment here!

Sex Therapy

I am an AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists) Certified Sex Therapist and love working with folks on issues including low desire, desire differences in relationships, sex addiction, infidelity, low sexual self esteem, sexual trauma, kink and poly issues, etc.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I love helping folks explore and strengthen their connections with their loved ones by helping people get clear on their emotions, communicate their emotions openly and directly, and explore the old patterns that are getting in the way of the connection we want so badly. Together we can work to develop new, healthier patterns and safer, stronger connections with those we want to be closer to.

Gender-affirming therapy

I love to co-create a safe space in which we can collaborate on your goals, however you identify and wherever you are in your personal growth process.

Trauma Informed Care

I have supported survivors of trauma for over 20 years, using a variety of therapy approaches (EMDR, CPT Somatic, CBT, DBT, etc.), but most importantly, by creating a safe place where we can hold those experiences gently and compassionately in our work together. You and your experiences are safe and welcome here.
