I am a clinical social worker licensed in California with 19 years of counseling experience. I graduated from the University of Southern California and have since worked with clients from all walks of life. In my practice, I use eclectic methods of treatment to fit the individual needs of my clients. Some of the practice modalities that I use include EMDR, humanistic, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, and solution focused therapy. I have worked with clients with concerns regarding depression, anxiety, trauma, and those who have experienced physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. My style is warm, interactive, and centered around the needs of the client. I commend you taking steps to grow and improve as a person. I look forward to working with you!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

In my work with clients, I have been successful in creating compassionate but challenging treatment plans with the goal of helping people improve themselves.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with people who are experiencing the feeling of being held back and wanting to get "unstuck." My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make their goals a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed, frustrated, and anxious.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the 19 years. It’s helped many clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

This modality can help clients with reframing problems and begin to shift their mindset into a more positive and productive direction.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Therapy is incomplete without taking a client's culture into account. I have used this modality throughout my career to improve client outcomes.

Mind-body approach

The mind and body are entwined and treatment must address both for success. We will explore how a client is treating their body in conjunction with mental health treatment.

EMDR

EMDR works to spark the brain's healing capabilities to address trauma and other areas of a client's life where they may feel stuck.
