I am a clinical social worker licensed in California with 18 years of counseling experience. I graduated from the University of Southern California and have since worked with clients from all walks of life. In my practice, I use eclectic methods of treatment to fit the individual needs of my clients. Some of the practice modalities that I use include humanistic, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, and solution focused therapy. I have worked with clients with concerns regarding depression, anxiety, trauma, and those who have experienced physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. My style is warm, interactive, and centered around the needs of the client. I commend you taking steps to grow and improve as a person. I look forward to working with you!
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
In my work with clients, I have been successful in creating compassionate but challenging treatment plans with the goal of helping people improve themselves.
I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the 18 years. It’s helped many clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
This modality can help clients with reframing problems and begin to shift their mindset into a more positive and productive direction.
Therapy is incomplete without taking a client's culture into account. I have used this modality throughout my career to improve client outcomes.
The mind and body are entwined and treatment must address both for success. We will explore how a client is treating their body in conjunction with mental health treatment.
