I am licensed in Georgia with 12 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma from abuse, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

On your first initial session we will be completing an assessment that will help us design an individual treatment plan that will tailor your treatment to target your personal goals to improve your mental well being and your desire to enhance your daly functioning and improve your quality of life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am pleased that you have sought counseling, and I am committed to helping you identify and reach your therapeutic goals. It is my desire to provide a warm and trusting therapeutic relationship, where you feel safe to examine patterns of behavior, thoughts, or emotions that are causing concern. Treatment goals will be established via ongoing collaboration between you and me as your therapist. I can help you explore possibilities and consequences of decisions, but my role is not to make decisions for you as a client. The purpose of counseling is to support, facilitate and empower your growth toward greater psychological health and satisfaction.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Using CBT has been very useful in my ability to support clients in learning to identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and teach practical self-help strategies to combat anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD and other related trauma.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Using DBT as a subset of CBT has been useful in my ability to teach clients how to learn to improve their quality of life by reducing life threatening behaviors and therapy interfering behaviors. This method of treatment has helped me assist clients in focusing on acceptance, emotional regulation and their interpersonal relationships.
