The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strength is a provider are compassion, care and willingness to advocate for clients' best interests. I work with a philosophy of genuine care for the needs of others. My background in service especially as a healthcare chaplain has allowed me to expand my awareness of a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I enjoy helping others identify or strengthen their beliefs in themselves.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Currently, I have extensive experience in working with persons dealing with the following issues, understanding their spirituality/grief, anxiety &/or depression. I enjoy working with children & family issues (including couples /marriage therapy). My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their lives and situations they may find themselves.

My treatment methods

Faith based therapy

I hold a person- centered philosophy if care. Additionally, I use existentialist and dignity therapies approaches however cognitive therapy is primarily used. Both therapies are used to identify cognitive, emotive, and behavioral issues which may help address problems. I seek to provide a holistic approach to care and counseling. This means I identify spirituality/emotional, psychological, social constructs as a part of the complete person and their needs. I believe that the individual needs of the client are most essential. The relationship of the counselor and client is the most important for a successful therapeutic relationship.
