New to Grow
I’m a Seattle-based psychotherapist with over a decade of clinical experience. My approach is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, where you are met with unconditional positive regard in a space that’s affirming, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I work with adults across the lifespan and welcome individuals from all backgrounds, identities, and relationship structures. I'm especially passionate about supporting members of the queer, LGBTQIA+, polyamorous, ethically non-monogamous, and kink communities. Whether you're facing anxiety, going through a life transition, exploring your identity, or simply looking for a space to feel truly heard — you're not alone. Together, we can explore what healing and self-discovery can look like for you. I do write secondary letters for those seeking gender affirming surgeries. I consider this an essential service to the trans and gender diverse community. My style as a therapist is laid-back but engaged — I’m not a blank wall. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real relationship, grounded in trust, respect, and genuine care.
Your first session with me is a chance for us to get to know each other — no pressure, no clinical distance, just a real conversation. We'll start with the practical stuff: I'll answer any questions you have about how I work, walk through confidentiality, and make sure the logistics (insurance, scheduling, what online sessions look like) feel clear before we dive into anything else. From there, it's really your space to talk. I'll ask about what's bringing you to therapy right now — whether that's feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just ready for a change — and I want to hear it in your own words, without having to explain or justify who you are first. If you're part of the LGBTQIA+, queer, polyamorous, non-monogamous, or kink communities, you won't need to educate me on the basics; we can go straight to what actually matters to you. I take a person-centered approach, which means this first session is less about me running through a checklist and more about building trust and seeing if we're a good fit for each other. We'll talk about your history, what's felt hard lately, and what you're hoping might be different. You can expect me to be genuinely engaged, a little laid-back, and honest — including about whether I think I'm the right therapist for what you need. By the end, you should have a good sense of how I work and what ongoing sessions would feel like, and we can talk through next steps together, at whatever pace feels right for you.
Queer, kinky, poly, ENM, trans — these aren't just boxes that I check. They're communities that I know deeply, both personally and through over a decade of clinical work. If you've wondered whether a therapist will truly get your life without judgment or unsolicited education, you won't have to explain yourself here. Whether it's anxiety, depression, identity, or relationship dynamics, I offer a space where you can show up fully as yourself. I bring to this work not just clinical expertise, but lived experience and genuine curiosity. Therapy isn't about fixing you — it's about supporting you in becoming more fully yourself.
My ideal client is an adult who is feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for a change — someone who wants a space to be heard without judgment or unsolicited education. I especially love working with people across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, as well as those who identify as queer, polyamorous, ethically non-monogamous, or part of kink and sex-positive communities. Many of my clients are navigating identity exploration, life transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, or self-esteem struggles, and they're looking for a therapist who already understands their world rather than one they have to educate from scratch. I work best with people who want a real relationship in the therapy room — someone who values authenticity, mutual respect, and a laid-back but genuinely engaged approach over clinical distance. My ideal client is curious about themselves, open to a collaborative process, and ready to show up as they are, whether that means talking through a mood disorder, family conflict, a relationship structure that doesn't fit the mainstream mold, or the everyday work of building better coping skills. Because I see clients virtually and across the adult lifespan — from young adults to elders — my ideal client is comfortable with online sessions and is looking for consistency and trust over time rather than a quick fix. Above all, they're someone who wants to feel safe enough to bring their full, unfiltered story into the room and be met with genuine care in return.
In my practice, person-centered therapy means you're the expert on your own life — not me. I show up as a real person rather than a distant clinical presence, building the relationship on trust, respect, and genuine care instead of a rigid script. That means I lead with empathy and unconditional positive regard: no judgment, no unsolicited education about who you are, and no pressure to fit your story into a preset framework. Sessions are tailored to you, following what's most alive for you in the moment rather than a checklist of goals I've decided on in advance. My job is to create a space where you feel truly heard and safe enough to explore honestly, while I stay engaged, laid-back, and direct along the way.
