Hello. I'm a licesned professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. I've been in the field for almost 30 years and worked extensively with adolescnet and adult populations. I have a masters and doctorate in counseling with a concentration in marriage and family. I have a lot of experience working in schools and universities in a variety of roles and have expertise in understand the challenges we all face at the diffrent stages of development in our lives. I enjoy helping my clients gain a better understanding of thier thoughts and behavors. By learning and incorporating portable skills and techniques into their everyday lives they can begin to accept certain outcomes and take control of the unwanted and negative thoughts and behaviors that hold them back from a fullfilling life.
Building a trusting and open relationship is paramount to the therapetic relationsip. The first session is the kickoff to gain better understanding of one another and establish whats important to the client to building that relationship and creating an environment that is conducive to change and enlightenment.
My greatest stregths as a provider are that I am genuine and compassionate but very direct in my approach. I've had great success in building a relationsip that fosters change and enpowerment in adolescents and adults. Having worked with a wide variety of clients and issues over the years has given me a lot of confidence and comfort in working with an expansive list of issues.
Teens to older adults and everything in between. Spacialties include, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relatioships, couples cunseling, school issues, and job burnout.
By identifying maladaptive patterns of thinking, emotional responses, or behaviors, we can then begin replacing them with more desirable patterns and perspetives.
By focusing on helping people accept the reality of their lives and their behaviors and to incorporate strategies and skills such as mindfulness and emotional regulation, clients can begin to replace undesirable behaviors and thoughts with positive and helpful ones.
By focuses on the choices we make and start taking resposibility and accountability for our actions, we can start to take control of our lives and better understand the choices we have in our lives and how they impact the end result.
