Wendy Ward
Hello, and welcome to Broadway Behavioral Health. I'm Wendy Ward, MSN, APNP, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing telehealth services to adults throughout Wisconsin. I created Broadway Behavioral Health to offer compassionate, personalized psychiatric care in a supportive and judgment-free environment. I believe good care starts with listening, and I work collaboratively with each client to develop treatment plans that support their goals, strengths, and overall well-being. My approach is grounded in kindness, respect, and balance, helping clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their care.
First session
Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to care. We'll talk about your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, and any goals you have for treatment. Please note the cost of the initial session is $350 due to the length of appointment and workload. Follow up appointments are $175. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and able to share what's been going on in your life. You're welcome to share as much as you're comfortable with, and there is no expectation that you have everything figured out before we meet. By the end of the session, we'll discuss impressions, treatment options, and next steps, and we'll work together to create a plan that feels right for you.
Strengths
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to listen without judgment and create a space where people feel comfortable being themselves. I believe that feeling heard and understood is an important part of the healing process. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical, balancing clinical expertise with genuine curiosity about each person's unique experiences. I take the time to understand the whole person, not just their symptoms. Together, we'll explore what is working, what isn't, and develop a treatment plan that supports your goals, strengths, and overall well-being. My goal is to help you feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout your care.
Ideal clients
I work with adults who are seeking support for anxiety, ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, insomnia, and other mood or emotional health concerns. Many of my clients are feeling overwhelmed, struggling to keep up with daily responsibilities, navigating life transitions, or simply feeling like they aren't functioning the way they would like to. My clients are often looking for more than medication management alone. They want a provider who listens, takes the time to understand their experiences, and works with them to create a treatment plan that feels personalized and realistic. Whether you've been struggling for years or are reaching out for help for the first time, you don't need to have everything figured out before getting started. I believe mental health care works best when it is collaborative. My role is to listen, provide guidance, and help you find the tools and treatments that fit your goals and needs. Together, we can work toward improving symptoms, building resilience, and creating more balance in your daily life. If you're looking for compassionate, respectful care and a provider who will take the time to truly understand your concerns, I would be honored to be part of your journey.
