New to Grow
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Qualified Supervisor with extensive experience working with adolescents, young adults, and families. My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in the belief that healing occurs through safe, authentic relationships. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, autism, ADHD, and family relationship difficulties. Drawing from EMDR, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Adlerian principles, and attachment-based approaches, I help clients better understand themselves, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
During our first session, my goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you can begin sharing your story at your own pace. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, review relevant personal and family history, and identify strengths as well as areas of concern. This initial session is also an opportunity for us to determine whether we are a good fit and begin developing a collaborative plan for your growth and healing.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a warm, authentic, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to be themselves. I balance empathy with directness, helping clients feel supported while also challenging unhelpful patterns that may be keeping them stuck. I strive to build strong therapeutic relationships and tailor treatment to each individual's unique needs, strengths, and goals. My approach stands out because it integrates trauma-informed care, neurodiversity-affirming practices, and evidence-based therapies within a collaborative framework. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, I help clients understand the underlying experiences, beliefs, and nervous system patterns that contribute to their current challenges. This deeper level of understanding allows for meaningful, sustainable change while honoring each client's individuality and lived experience.
My ideal clients are adolescents, young adults, and families who feel stuck in patterns of overwhelm, anxiety, emotional distress, or disconnection and are looking for meaningful, lasting change. They may be navigating the effects of trauma, neurodivergence, life transitions, relationship challenges, or difficulties with self-esteem and emotional regulation. Together, we work to build insight, strengthen relationships, process difficult experiences, and develop practical tools that foster resilience, confidence, connection, and overall well-being.
Other specialties
I identify as
Adlerian
I integrate Adlerian therapy by helping clients understand how their early life experiences, family dynamics, and beliefs about themselves influence their current thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors. Through a collaborative, strengths-based approach, I encourage insight, social connectedness, and purposeful change while fostering greater self-awareness, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
EMDR
I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients process and integrate distressing experiences that continue to impact their emotions, beliefs, relationships, and daily functioning. By targeting maladaptively stored memories and supporting the brain’s natural healing processes, EMDR helps reduce emotional distress, strengthen adaptive beliefs, and promote lasting psychological well-being.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore ambivalence, strengthen intrinsic motivation, and identify personally meaningful reasons for change. Through a collaborative, nonjudgmental approach, I support clients in increasing self-efficacy, clarifying values, and making sustainable behavioral changes that align with their goals.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and problematic behaviors. By developing more balanced thinking and effective coping strategies, clients can improve emotional regulation, decision-making, and overall functioning.
