New to Grow
I believe in the power of transformation, resilience, and healing. Just as the butterfly symbolizes growth through change, my practice is dedicated to supporting individuals, families, couples, and groups as they navigate life’s challenges and emerge stronger, more whole, and emotionally empowered. I provide compassionate, culturally attuned psychotherapy services rooted in depth psychology, trauma-informed care, and holistic practices. My services include individual therapy, family and couples counseling, group facilitation, and consulting to support wellness in schools, community organizations, and clinical settings. Whether you're facing personal struggles, intergenerational wounds, or seeking support in parenting, identity, or relationships, here, you don’t have to heal alone—your journey matters, and I’m honored to walk alongside you.
Clients can expect to walk away from sessions with a deeper connection to themselves, a sense of being truly seen and heard, and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. My hope is that each session feels like a safe space where healing unfolds, not just through words, but through insight, creativity, and emotional release. Clients often leave feeling more empowered, aware of their inner strength, and with a renewed sense of clarity or direction. Because I bring a holistic lens, they may also begin to notice patterns in their mind, body, and spirit that are ready to shift. Through our work together, many begin to reconnect with ancestral wisdom, cultural identity, and their capacity for meaningful change. They can also expect a balance of depth and lightness—laughter, when needed, to break tension, and deep reflection to explore the complexities of their stories. I support clients in integrating their healing into everyday life, ensuring growth continues well beyond the session.
Creativity plays a powerful role in my work. Whether through storytelling, metaphor, art, or movement, I invite clients to express themselves in ways that go beyond words. I remain open-minded and curious, holding a nonjudgmental stance that welcomes each person’s unique experience. I bring energy and presence into the room, along with a sense of humor, because I believe laughter, when appropriate, can be deeply therapeutic. It lightens heavy moments and reminds us of the joy that still lives alongside our pain.
My approach to therapy is holistic, recognizing that healing involves the integration of mind, body, spirit, and community. I honor the whole person and create space for clients to explore not only their emotional and psychological well-being but also their cultural identity, ancestral roots, and spiritual beliefs. I approach therapy from a place of empowerment, guiding individuals to rediscover their inner strength, resilience, and capacity for transformation. I believe people are not problems to be fixed, but stories waiting to be witnessed and reclaimed. Above all, my therapeutic style is relational, intuitive, and attuned to the needs of my clients. I strive to co-create a safe, dynamic space where growth, insight, and healing are possible.
Trauma Informed Care
My work is grounded in a trauma-informed approach, recognizing that many presenting concerns are shaped by past and ongoing experiences of stress, loss, and adversity. I prioritize creating a therapeutic environment that emphasizes safety, trust, collaboration, and client empowerment. In practice, this means pacing sessions thoughtfully, offering choice, and being mindful of how power dynamics, culture, and history impact the client’s experience. I consistently view behaviors such as avoidance, emotional reactivity, or withdrawal through a trauma lens, which allows me to respond with curiosity and compassion rather than pathologizing.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize CBT to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. In my practice, I work collaboratively with clients to increase awareness of the connections among thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to develop more adaptive coping strategies. I integrate cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and problem-solving techniques, tailoring interventions to the client’s readiness and goals. I often use CBT in a flexible manner, blending it with other approaches to ensure it remains relevant and meaningful to the client’s lived experience.
Grief Therapy
I support clients in navigating grief as a deeply personal and nonlinear process. My approach honors the emotional, relational, and cultural dimensions of loss, allowing space for both pain and meaning-making. I help clients process unresolved emotions, maintain continuing bonds with loved ones, and adjust to life transitions following loss. In practice, I balance validation with gentle guidance, supporting clients in integrating grief into their lives rather than “moving on” from it. I am attentive to how grief intersects with identity, family roles, and broader life stressors.
Jungian
I incorporate a Jungian, depth-oriented lens to explore unconscious processes, symbolic meaning, and the role of archetypes in shaping clients’ inner worlds. This approach is particularly meaningful in working with themes of identity, intergenerational patterns, and personal transformation. I may invite reflection on dreams, imagery, or recurring relational patterns to support deeper insight and integration. My work in this area is thoughtful and paced, ensuring that exploration of deeper material remains grounded and appropriate for the client’s level of stability and readiness.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I integrate mindfulness-based practices to help clients develop present-moment awareness, emotional regulation, and nonjudgmental observation of their internal experiences. In session, I may guide clients through grounding exercises, breathwork, or brief mindfulness practices to reduce reactivity and increase self-awareness. I emphasize practical application, helping clients incorporate mindfulness into daily routines as a way to manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelming emotions. This approach complements other modalities.
