Life doesn’t always go as planned. Illness, loss, and life changes can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, and unsure of who you are now. I specialize in working with adults coping with anxiety, grief and chronic illness, including the emotional toll that often comes with complex or ongoing challenges. Whether you're adjusting to a diagnosis, processing a loss, or struggling with the direction your life is headed, therapy can help you find your way forward. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you—building coping skills, reconnecting with your values, and moving forward in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable. My approach is grounded in evidence-based care and guided by a holistic, nature-informed perspective. I integrate mindfulness, compassion, and practical strategies to support you in your day-to-day life. Sessions may be structured and skills-focused at times, or more reflective when you need space to process and make sense of your experiences. I work from a humanistic, strengths-based lens and strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported as you navigate change and reconnect with yourself.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's completely normal to feel unsure at first. The first session is simply a space to begin - there is no pressure to have everything figured out. We'll talk about what's been going on in your life, what's been most difficult, and what you're hoping might change. I'll ask some gentle questions along the way, and together, we'll begin to get a sense what support might be most helpful moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a calm, supportive space where clients feel truly heard and understood. With over 20 years of experience in medical and mental health settings, I have developed a strong ability to build meaningful, trusting relationships that allow for a deep understanding of how life's challenges - especially illness, loss and caregiving - can impact both emotional and day-to-day well-being. I balance thoughtful, reflective work with practical tools that clients can use in their daily lives. My approach is flexible and responsive - at times gently guiding, and at other times offering space to process at your own pace. I aim to not only help you to feel better, but to develop a clearer sense of direction and connection to what matters most.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or navigating difficult life experiences such as grief, chronic illness, anxiety or professional burnout. Many of my clients are thoughtful and reflective, even if they feel disconnected from themselves right now. They are often looking, not just for symptom relief, but for a deeper understanding of themselves and a more meaningful way forward. I offer a supportive space to reflect and reconnect with what matters most, while building practical tools to navigate day-to-day challenges.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients gently shift their relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions. Through mindfulness, reflection and values-based work, we focus on what truly matters to you and how to move towards it in a meaningful way.

Existential

I incorporate Existential Therapy to support clients in exploring core life themes, such as meaning, purpose, identity, and life transitions. This approach invites thoughtful reflection and and can be especially helpful when navigating grief, major life transitions or questions about direction and purpose.

Strength-Based

I use a Strength-Based approach to help you recognize and build on the resilience, skills and qualities you already carry. Even in difficult times, there are parts of you that have helped you through, and we work together to bring those forward. This approach supports a sense of empowerment, confidence and meaningful change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to offer practical tools to manage stress, anxiety and low mood. Together, we identify patterns in thoughts and behaviors and explore ways to respond that feel more supportive and effective. These skills are introduced in a way that feels approachable and grounded, so they can be used in everyday life.
