(she/they)
I am queer, neurodivergent, and gender nonconforming, and I enjoy working with teens and adults. I’m of mixed global majority identities decolonizing myself in Northern California. I have been licensed to practice therapy in the state of California for the past 20 years. I have experience working with children, teens and young adults, as well as with parents who want support working through challenging relationships with one another and with their children. I enjoy working with clients with a wide variety of treatment goals, including reducing depression and anxiety, working through trauma, and increasing connection with natural supports. I primarily focus on trauma and attachment issues, as well as using a strengths-based approach to support clients in identifying and meeting their goals. I believe in the importance of establishing a strong therapeutic alliance as a keystone for success.
Our first session will be about identifying your strengths, special interests, and goals in order to begin to build a common language as I work to better understand you and the ways in which you would like to engage with your community, or to identify and build your community connections.
I primarily focus on trauma and attachment issues, as well as using a strengths-based approach to support clients in identifying and meeting their goals. I believe in the importance of establishing a strong therapeutic alliance as a keystone for success as this is essential in supportive clients healing from attachment injuries. I use narrative therapy, human centered approaches, and unconditional positive regard.
One of my biggest strengths is my abillity to connect with clients using authenticty and humor.
Teens, young adults, queer people, neurodivergent people, people of color trying to survive in a white world.
