New to Grow
Hello! I am Chandra, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP). I have been working with humans struggling with substance use and/or mental health concerns for the past 11 years. I enjoy supporting members of the LGBTQIA2SP+ community and recognize the unique challenges faced both in and out of the community, especially under current events.
Our first session will be to explore what brought you to seek out therapy and what you'd like to get out of therapy. I will ask questions and honor your story.
I tend to be direct, but soft. I use humor sometimes (when appropriate) and SOMETIMES a spicy word might slip out. I encourage you to use whatever languaging works best for you.
Individuals 18 and older who are either a member of the LGBTQIA2SP+ community (yes, Allys very welcome). My clients grapple with life circumstances stemming from significant life changes, adapting to new family dynamics brought on by aging or parenting, or even addiction. They are open to exploring their feelings, demonstrating a desire for personal growth. Their willingness to engage in the therapeutic process, coupled with a commitment to self-discovery, builds an environment where I can help guide them through emotional hurdles, helping to beuild resilience and coping strategies that honor their unique journey.
