New to Grow
Hi I'm Amy, I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist, and I am so happy you are here! I work with adolescents, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the impact of past experiences. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative, while also offering practical tools to help you move forward. I believe that building a genuine authentic relationship with my clients is the best way to connect. I integrate evidence-based methods like CBT and EMDR with a deeper, attachment-focused perspective to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and create lasting, meaningful change.
In our first session, we will focus on getting to know you and what's bringing you to therapy. You'll have space to share your concerns at your own pace, I'll ask some questions to better understand your experiences, goals, and what your hoping to get out of our work together. We will begin identifying initial areas of focus and discuss a plan that feels supportive and manageable. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, comfortable, and with a clearer sense of direction.
My greatest strengths are creating a space where clients feel both deeply supported and gently challenged. I balance warmth and empathy with practical, results oriented tools to help clients move forward. I'm skilled at helping people identify patterns, gain insight, and make meaningful changes, while also ensuring they feel safe and understood throughout the process. I tailor my approach to each individual, integrating evidence based methods to support lasting growth and real-life change.
I work best with adolescents, adults, and couples who are navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, and past experiences that continue to impact their present. Many of my clients feel stuck in patterns or overwhelmed and are looking for practical tools as well as a deeper understanding . I provide a supportive, collaborative space to help clients build insight, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and develop practical strategies to shift thinking, improve coping and build practical tools to help you feel more in control, confident and balanced. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and focused on real life strategies you can use between sessions.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I incorporate Solution Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify strengths, set clear goals, and create practical steps toward change.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I also utilize a Person Centered approach to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. I believe that each person has the capacity for growth and change, and I work collaboratively to help you explore your experiences, build self awareness, and move toward your goals at your own pace.
EMDR
I use Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR) to help clients process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences. EMDR supports the brain's natural ability to reprocess difficult memories so they feel less overwhelming over time. My approach is paced, supportive, and tailored to your comfort level, helping you build resilience while moving toward lasting relief.
Attachment-based
I incorporate an attachment based approach to help clients understand how early relationships and past experiences may be influencing current patterns in relationships, self-worth, and emotional responses. Together, we explore these patterns in a supportive and nonjudgmental space, helping you build healthier connections, increase self-awareness, and feel more secure in your relationships.
