New to Grow
I’m Tavonda Hudson, a licensed therapist who supports high-functioning adults navigating anxiety, burnout, ADHD, and life transitions. I provide a warm, collaborative space where clients can slow down, process their experiences, and gain clarity. My approach is both practical and compassionate, helping you build emotional resilience, set boundaries, and develop tools to feel more grounded, confident, and in control of your life.
Your first session is a space to slow down and feel heard. We’ll talk through what’s bringing you to therapy, your current challenges, and what you hope to get out of our work together. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand your experiences, patterns, and goals, but there’s no pressure to share everything at once. This session is also about making sure you feel comfortable. You can ask questions, share concerns, and get a sense of my approach. Together, we’ll begin identifying areas of focus and discuss next steps to support your growth and healing.
My greatest strengths lie in my ability to blend insight with practical, real-life application. I help clients not only understand their patterns, but also know exactly what to do differently. I create a warm, nonjudgmental space while still gently challenging clients to grow. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and focused on helping clients build sustainable tools for lasting change.
My ideal clients are high-functioning adults who appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained beneath the surface. They are often navigating anxiety, burnout, ADHD, or significant life transitions, and may struggle with overthinking, people-pleasing, and difficulty setting boundaries. Many of my clients are used to being “the strong one” for others, which can make it hard to prioritize their own needs or ask for support. I work best with individuals who are insightful, motivated, and open to self-reflection, even if they feel uncertain about where to start. They may recognize patterns that no longer serve them but need support in understanding and changing them. My clients are often seeking clarity, emotional regulation, and practical tools to manage stress, improve relationships, and reconnect with themselves. In our work together, I help clients build self-awareness, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and develop healthier coping strategies. I also support them in creating boundaries, reducing emotional burnout, and moving from survival mode to a more balanced, intentional, and fulfilling way of living.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that impact emotions and behavior. In my practice, I apply CBT in a practical, collaborative way—teaching clients how to recognize cognitive distortions, regulate emotional responses, and build healthier coping strategies they can use in everyday life.
Narrative
I use Narrative Therapy to help clients explore the stories they’ve internalized about themselves and their lives. In my practice, I emphasize awareness of the stories we tell ourselves, guiding clients to separate their identity from their struggles, challenge limiting narratives, and rewrite more empowering, values-aligned stories.
