First session
In the first session you can expect a structured but supportive introduction focused on understanding your concerns and setting the foundation for treatment. The session generally begins with us getting to know each other. We will discuss what brought you to me, such as anxiety, stress, work–life balance challenges, or a major life transition. Then I will gather background information about your current symptoms, history, and goals. This helps create a clear picture of what’s going on and what you want to change. My sessions is are always collaborative. Together, we will begin identifying specific situations that trigger distress and explore the thoughts and reactions tied to them. Overall, the first session is about building understanding, creating a plan, and helping the patient feel hopeful, informed, and actively involved in their treatment.
Strengths
My greatest strength is the empathy that I bring to every encounter. I am also an effective listener to all my patient's concerns without judgment.
Ideal clients
My ideal patient is someone navigating the complex intersection of work and personal life, often feeling the strain of maintaining a healthy work–life balance while managing underlying anxiety. They may be facing a significant career transitio, whether stepping into a new role, changing industries, or approaching retirement and find themselves uncertain, overwhelmed, or questioning their sense of identity and purpose. These individuals are typically high-functioning and motivated but feel stuck in patterns of worry, overthinking, or burnout. They are seeking practical tools to regain clarity, build confidence, and create a more balanced, meaningful life as they move through these pivotal transitions.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My strength is in helping patients challenge unhelpful thinking patterns by identifying cognitive distortions (e.g., catastrophizing, black-and-white thinking). I enjoy helping patients generate balanced alternative thoughts. Use thought records This is central to reducing anxiety and depression symptoms.
