New to Grow
I’m Jeanne Kimble, a licensed psychotherapist helping adults do the deep work that helps them get past their past to loosen stuck patterns of behavior and live life better. I treat clients in a therapy that works to resolve the root cause(s) of the symptoms and pain clients struggle with because life is simply too short to endlessly manage symptoms. Many of my clients have carried the impact of adverse events in childhood, a chaotic or stressful family life, preoccupied and emotionally neglecting parents or other difficult life experiences. They may be dealing with high stress, anxiety, depression, persistent negative thought patterns or a range of medical conditions. My approach is holistic, grounded in science and considers all aspects of your life and unique circumstances. I draw from my training in psychodynamic therapy, ACT, third-wave CBT, and EMDR, tailoring the work to each person’s needs. My areas of special interest and on-going study include the ever-evolving neurosciences, learning and performance enhancement, attachment trauma, and Buddhist psychology.
Our first session is about getting to know you. My intakes are done primarily through gentle inquiry in our live video session. We talk about your current health, lifestyle, and behaviors, then go through a brief narration of your experiences from childhood to the present.
I specialize in helping adults get to the root of their problems and break through the limiting patterns of thought and behavior that are holding them back. My greatest strength comes from a rich and seasoned perspective, informed by the experience of providing social work and counseling services to children, adults and seniors, from a multiplicity of cultures and backgrounds, for 30+ years.
I work with adults who are ready to do the deep work of a therapy that enables them to drop the baggage from a difficult childhood and live a better life. My clients are often high functioning externally but long-suffering internally with confidence and relational problems, symptoms of anxiety, depression or trauma, frequent fight, flight, freeze or fawn responses, mood swings, OCD, ADHD, perfectionist tendencies and other bad habits.
EMDR
I use an attachment-focused EMDR framework to help clients identify and resolve stuck beliefs, memories and relational trauma from childhood. My EMDR work often uses somatic, experiential, parts work and exposure therapy techniques as well.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use a a third-wave or Mindfulness-Based CBT to help clients learn an effective approach to tame problematic thought patterns like rumination, overthinking and unwanted intrusive thought.
Psychodynamic
I use a foundation of neuro-informed psychodynamic therapy that explores the impact of certain past experiences on unconscious thoughts and current behavior.
