New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Independent Social Worker (LISW) providing individual counseling for adults navigating anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to build practical coping skills that support lasting change. My approach is structured, collaborative, and focused on helping clients gain clarity, improve emotional regulation, and move forward with greater confidence and stability in their daily lives. Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, and engaging in activities that promote balance and well-being.
In our first session, we will talk about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to work on. I will ask questions to better understand your concerns and begin identifying goals together. You'll also have space to ask questions and see if I feel like a good fit for you. We may begin exploring patters in thoughts and behaviors and introduce initial coping strategies when appropriate.
My greatest strength is helping clients turn insight into practical change. I use CBT in structured, collaborative way to identify unhelpful thoughts patterns and build effective coping skills. My approach is supportive yet goal-focused, helping clients gain clarity, improve emotional regulation, and make meaningful progress in their daily lives.
I am best positioned to serve adults who are navigating life transitions, emotional stress, and patterns of thinking that may be keeping them stuck in cycles of worry, self-doubt, or overwhelm. My ideal clients are individuals who are motivated for change, but may feel uncertain about how to move forward or how to create more stability and balance in their lives. This includes adults experiencing anxiety, depression, or ongoing stress related to work, relationships, family dynamics, aging, or major life changes such as career transitions, divorce, relocation, retirement, grief and loss, or adjusting to new roles and responsibilities. I also enjoy working with older adults who are reflecting on life experiences, identity, purpose, and meaning, and who are seeking support in adapting to changes in health, independence, or family structure. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware individuals who notice patterns such as overthinking, difficulty setting boundaries, people-pleasing, or feeling emotionally “stuck.” They may also struggle with managing stress in healthy ways or feel disconnected from their sense of direction. In therapy, they are looking for practical tools, emotional clarity, and a greater sense of control over their thoughts and responses. I work collaboratively with clients to develop realistic coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and build healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges. Sessions are structured but flexible, with an emphasis on practical application in everyday life. While I have experience supporting veterans and individuals with substance use concerns, my broader focus is working with adults across a range of life experiences who are seeking meaningful, sustainable change. I aim to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can gain insight, build coping skills, and move toward greater confidence, stability, and emotional well-being.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) as a primary treatment approach to help clients identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns that influence emotions and behaviors. My work is structured, collaborative, and focused on building practical coping skills that support meaningful change across a variety of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, life stress, and relationship challenges. I also have experience working with Veterans and individuals with substance use disorders, where CBT is used to address the connect between thoughts, triggers, trauma-related belief, and behavioral patterns related to recovery and family dynamics.
