About me

Life can be hard. I am here to help! Congratulations on taking the first step in your journey to self-acceptance! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in the state of Florida, with over 12 years of experience working as a mental health therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, LGBTQ-related issues and career challenges. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. Regardless of the issue you are struggling with, I treat the person first, so there is no challenge we cannot conquer together. I am passionate about walking side by side with you on this journey, I will meet you in the very place you are and work with you, empower you and challenge you to accept and love who you are, while living your very best life! It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, reach out to me and let's get to work! I look forward to meeting with you!

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I am so excited to begin our work together! There is an odd saying I love to use when referencing therapy - The best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time! I know it sounds crazy, but it's true! The best way to accomplish goals is one baby step at a time and together we will take those steps and accomplish your therapy goals. In our first session together, we will establish goals, write them down and each and every session thereafter we will take small steps to accomplish these goals.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

Therapy is a very individualized process. The same approach will not work for everyone. Similar to many therapists I typically use a combination of Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Providing therapy is a true honor and privilege. I don't take much seriously in my life, but the honor of walking side by side with you through your struggles is something that I take very seriously. I am a realist, what you see is what you get! I approach therapy from this standpoint and look forward to taking on life's challenges with you!
