Dr. Von Jackson

LMHC10 years of experience

I believe that healing begins when people feel seen, heard, and understood. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I am committed to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges with compassion, respect, and practical support. My clinical approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, family challenges, grief, life transitions, behavioral concerns, and emotional distress. Together, we identify personal strengths, develop healthy coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across school, community, and behavioral health settings. These experiences have provided me with a broad understanding of the emotional, relational, and environmental factors that influence mental wellness. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, and move toward their goals with confidence. I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and healing. My role is not to tell clients what to do, but to walk alongside them, providing guidance, encouragement, and practical tools that empower them to overcome obstacles and strengthen their relationships. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your relationship, or your family, I am dedicated to helping you find hope, restore balance, and build a healthier future—one step at a time.

First session

Beginning therapy is an important step, and it's natural to feel a little nervous. My goal is to make your first session as comfortable and welcoming as possible. During our initial appointment, we'll spend time getting to know one another. I'll ask questions about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths, and the goals you hope to achieve. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about my approach and discuss any concerns you may have about the counseling process. Together, we'll begin identifying your priorities and develop a treatment plan that reflects your unique needs and goals. There is no pressure to share everything during the first session—we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, respect, and confidentiality. My role is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings while learning practical strategies to help you create meaningful and lasting change. Whether you are seeking support as an individual, couple, or family, our first session is the beginning of a partnership focused on healing, growth, and hope.

Treatment methods

Family Therapy

Family relationships are among the most meaningful—and often the most challenging—connections we experience. Whether you are facing communication difficulties, parenting conflicts, trust issues, blended family adjustments, life transitions, or emotional distance, therapy provides a safe and supportive space to rebuild healthy relationships. I work collaboratively with couples and families to strengthen communication, restore trust, resolve conflict, and develop practical strategies that promote lasting change. My approach is evidence-based, culturally responsive, and tailored to each family's unique values, strengths, and goals. Together, we focus on healing emotional wounds, improving understanding, fostering healthy boundaries, and creating stronger, more resilient relationships that support long-term emotional wellness.

Couples Counseling

Relationship Restoration Healthy relationships do not happen by chance—they are built through understanding, intentional communication, and emotional connection. When conflict, stress, trauma, or life challenges begin to interfere with those connections, counseling can provide the support needed to move forward. I help couples and families identify unhealthy patterns, strengthen communication, resolve recurring conflicts, and rebuild emotional safety. Whether you are preparing for marriage, navigating parenting challenges, recovering from betrayal, coping with separation, blending families, or seeking healthier ways to relate to one another, therapy is designed to help your family grow stronger together. Every family has strengths. My role is to help you rediscover them while developing practical skills that promote healing, resilience, and lasting change.
