(she/her)
Hello! My name is Alicia Capobianco, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in New York. I have been working in a clinical capacity with individuals, children, and families throughout the course of my career. I obtained my Master of Social Work degree from New York University Silver School of Social Work. I have experience working with clients of all ages and helping them to meet their clinical goals while providing them with the necessary tools to support their growth.
Seeking out therapy is not something that is easy to do, and for some it can be a frightening and challenging time. I strive to create a comfortable and nurturing environment to help with navigating this time of self reflection and growth. Together we will identify strategies to implement, these strategies will not only be practiced during session but you will have the opportunity to try them on your own between sessions.
I strongly believe that everyone who seeks therapy should be in control of their treatment, I work collaboratively with my clients to meet them where they are at and provide an individualized approach. I apply a unique approach and aim to facilitate sessions where clients feel comfortable. One of my greatest strengths is being able to interpret you feelings and reflect them back to you in a way that is more digestible. I infuse humor and wit into my work when appropriate and hope that sessions are growth experiences that can also be enjoyable.
I love working with motivated adults of various backgrounds! Therapy is a space to learn and grow, I hope to share tools, resources and strategies to help you meet your goals.
