When depression or anxiety takes over and loneliness sets in, it is understandable to feel hopeless. Sometimes even relationships can lead to unhappiness. In therapy, we will work together to address these issues. Therapy is a journey of learning about your past and present self. This self-exploration helps open the doors to a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I work with clients to help you understand your strengths and struggles, which creates a platform to achieve your goals. In order to do that, I believe that the therapist-client relationship is a partnership and it is central to achieving significant progress. I offer a safe, nonjudgmental and confidential space to work through the challenges you are facing. Together we will utilize your strengths to help you achieve your goals while keeping in mind that understanding yourself is essential for growth and change. I use a variety of different techniques, including mindfulness, CBT & DBT techniques to help you gain control of your thoughts and emotions. I believe in a variety of healing modalities outside of the realm of Therapy. I often provide referrals to holistic forms of healing to help the therapy process. If you do not see a time that might work for you, please feel free to reach out and inquire about other times.

I believe that processing and exploring trauma is best done with a mind-body focus. Both the mind and the body store trauma and I believe I use an integrative approach to processing trauma holistically.
In a therapeutic setting, I use Person-Centered Therapy to establish a strong therapeutic alliance, active listening, and fostering an environment that allows the client to freely express themselves. It's a collaborative process where the therapist acts as a facilitator in the client's journey of self-discovery and personal growth. I believe this is most effective when there is a strong therapeutic relationship and the client is willing to engage in the process of self-exploration.
CBT is a collaborative and structured form of therapy where the therapist and the client work together to identify and address specific issues. Together you will become aware of the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The goal is to replace maladaptive thought patterns with healthier, more adaptive ones and there are a variety of skills to help you get here. We will focus on the behavioral interventions to change specific behaviors that contribute to distress. We will incorporate mindfulness and acceptance strategies, helping clients become more aware of their thoughts and feelings without judgment. Mindfulness practices can enhance emotional regulation and reduce reactivity to distressing thoughts.
