New to Grow
Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Case Manager (CCM) serving adults across Virginia through virtual therapy. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions using evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care. My goal is to provide a supportive, authentic, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change aligned with your values.
During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brought you to therapy, and exploring your goals. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, and strengths to gain a better understanding of your experiences. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about my approach. Together, we'll begin creating a plan that feels supportive, practical, and aligned with your needs.
My strengths as a therapist include empathy, authenticity, active listening, and the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships. Clients often appreciate my supportive yet direct approach, my sense of humor, and my willingness to challenge them when appropriate. I combine compassion with evidence-based strategies to help clients gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I work best with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, and the lasting effects of difficult experiences. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed by stress, uncertain about their next steps, or disconnected from the life they want to live. They are looking for a therapist who is compassionate, authentic, and willing to challenge them when needed. Together, we explore their values, build practical coping skills, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. I also welcome individuals from underserved communities, including LGBTQIA+, kink, polyamorous, and gaming communities, seeking a safe and affirming space for growth and healing.
Other specialties
I identify as
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients manage anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. Together, we'll explore your values, clarify what matters most, and develop practical skills to navigate difficult thoughts and emotions. ACT helps you build resilience, adapt to change, and take meaningful action toward the life you want to create.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a supportive, nonjudgmental approach that helps you clarify your goals, explore your values, and strengthen your motivation for change. Together, we'll work through barriers, build confidence, and develop practical steps that align with the life you want to live. It is especially helpful during life transitions, personal growth, and times when you feel stuck or uncertain about your next steps.
Trauma Informed Care
I take a trauma-informed approach to therapy, recognizing how past experiences can shape current challenges. I provide a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your experiences without judgment, build effective coping skills, and develop greater resilience. Therapy moves at a pace that feels comfortable for you, with an emphasis on safety, empowerment, and lasting healing.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you recognize and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we'll develop practical coping skills, challenge negative thinking patterns, and build healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. CBT is effective for anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
