I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adolescents and adults on a range of different specialty areas, including trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, women’s issues, relationship issues, life transitions, LGBTQIA+, and parenting. I obtained my doctorate in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am currently licensed in Illinois and Florida. For the past 12 years I have worked with individuals, couples and families of diverse backgrounds. I am trained in Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and Cognitive-Behavioral treatment modalities. I am dedicated to providing inclusive mental health treatment in an open and accepting environment. I believe in a collaborative treatment style in order to achieve optimal treatment success. Seeking treatment can be a difficult first step, however it can lead to a path of greater happiness, relief of symptoms and healing. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and helping you to achieve your treatment goals.
Initially sessions are aimed at gaining an understanding of your personal experience and goals. Once we have explored what you need, whether it is support for a specific life event, healing from past trauma, or gaining skills to manage something specific, we will make a treatment plan together and decide together what treatment will look like.
I think that it is important to provide a modality that fits each individual. Therapy is a process that is personal and unique. I am trained in Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.
My treatment focus is primarily trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, women’s issues, relationship issues, life transitions, LGBTQIA+, and parenting. I also have experience working with personality disorders, and helping to learn to manage the difficulties that are associated with living with a personality disorder.
