New to Grow
Hi! I’m so glad you are here. Taking the step to seek support is meaningful, and I feel honored to be part of your mental health journey. I approach therapy with warmth, authenticity, and genuine care, creating a space where you can feel safe, heard, and understood. I believe that healing happens in connection, and I strive to meet you exactly where you are—with compassion, curiosity, and respect for your unique experiences. My style is supportive and collaborative. I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate challenges, build insight, and move toward the life you want. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking for growth, we’ll work together at a pace that feels right for you. I value honesty and openness in the therapeutic relationship, and I aim to show up as my true self so you can feel comfortable doing the same. You don’t have to do this alone—I’m grateful for the opportunity to support you.
This is a big step! In our first session, you can expect a relaxed, welcoming space where we begin getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and any questions or concerns you might have. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once—this is your time, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll also spend some time explaining how I work, what therapy with me can look like, and making sure you feel informed about the process. Most importantly, my goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and safe as we start building a trusting relationship together.
I typically have a pretty eclectic therapeutic approach. This means that, depending on the concerns, symptoms, or stressors you are experiencing, I will tailor the modalities and methods I use to fit your needs best. I utilize CBT, MI, DBT skills, and often a person-centered approach to support you. I consider myself to be personable, open, and understanding in my role as a therapist.
I am eager to serve individuals who may be navigating life stressors that have led to depression or anxiety, individuals who would benefit from stress management techniques, and the development of coping skills to help them cope. The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of therapy, so individuals who share a willingness for vulnerability, humor, and motivation for positive change would be a good fit.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Person-centered therapy is usually one of the core modalities I use to ensure that individuals I work with are met with empathy, unconditional positive regard, and empowerment as they navigate the therapy space.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I often use CBT to help individuals understand how their thoughts and feelings affect their behavior. When using this modality, I encourage exploration of negative thinking patterns as well as using techniques such as behavior activation to assist with depression.
Brainspotting
Having been trained in phase one of Brainspotting, I can assist individuals who meet the criteria for Brainspotting in processing trauma when traditional talk therapy has not worked.
