By seamlessly weaving mindfulness practices and self-compassion into the therapeutic process, clients and couples are guided toward breaking unhelpful patterns, enhancing emotional regulation, and rebuilding secure, authentic connections. Whether navigating individual life transitions, healing from personal stress and trauma, or working through relational gridlock, sessions are tailored to unique goals, honoring each person's innate capacity for growth and resilience.
First session
My first client-centered therapy sessions are collaborative, low-pressure introductions centered entirely around your comfort and pace. While I briefly cover necessary administrative assessments, I avoid rigid diagnostic questionnaires, instead establishing a warm, non-judgmental space where you set the agenda. You are invited to direct the conversation toward what matters most to you right now. Through deep listening and unconditional positive regard, I work to understand your perspective without imposing my own agenda or timeline. Ultimately, this initial meeting serves as a mutual fit exploration, ensuring you feel safe, respected, and heard as you decide whether to continue.
Strengths
My path to becoming a therapist started at a young age, and that early clarity shaped how I practice today. Having experienced firsthand how challenging life transitions, relationships, and daily existence can be, and having done my own work, I deeply understand what it means to sit in the client’s seat. Because I know the value of participating in the therapeutic process myself, I approach our work as a true partnership. My goal is to walk alongside you on your journey of growth and transformation, creating a grounded space where you can uncover your innate strengths and use them to reach your goals.
Ideal clients
Research has shown that all of the major therapeutic models are effective, but not all models work with all people. One aspect of the therapeutic process that has been shown to be highly effective regardless of the therapeutic model used is the therapeutic alliance—ensuring there is a good fit between the therapist and the client. We are a great fit if you are looking for a collaborative, down-to-earth partnership—someone who will walk beside you to help you uncover or rediscover your inner strengths, make sense of life’s transitions, gently challenge when appropriate, and assist you in building a more grounded, authentic life. Whether you are an individual navigating a daunting life transition, managing anxiety and/or depression, or a couple or family feeling stuck in repetitive relational cycles, you don’t have to carry it alone.
Treatment methods
Person-centered (Rogerian)
As a client-centered psychotherapist, I provide a warm, collaborative space where your unique perspective and pace guide the way. Rooted in deep empathy and unconditional positive regard, my approach integrates solution-focused clarity and a family systems lens to honor both your individual goals and the relational patterns that shape your world. Together, we focus on identifying your strengths and building practical steps toward the future you want to create, ensuring you always feel safe, respected, and truly heard.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
While my primary therapeutic style is person-centered, I am skilled in other modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy. To help bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be, I may also integrate practical cognitive-behavioral techniques to help you identify unhelpful thought patterns, learn how to untwist and rewrite them, and build actionable solutions toward the future you want to create.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
As a person-centered therapist, when appropriate for your needs, I also integrate mindfulness-based practices to help you stay grounded in the present moment, observe your thoughts without judgment, and find calm amidst life's transitions.
