I am a mental health provider with more than 10 years of experience, who approaches care with steadiness, respect, and a deep commitment to understanding the whole person. I work collaboratively with clients, integrating biological, psychological, and social perspectives to build a clear picture of their experiences and goals. My style is calm, attentive, and grounded in dignity, creating a space where people feel heard, supported, and actively involved in their treatment. I strive to help clients gain clarity, strengthen resilience, and move toward meaningful, sustainable change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session with me is designed to be steady, welcoming, and grounded in understanding. We’ll take our time to explore what brings you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to change or clarify. I’ll ask thoughtful questions about your history, your strengths, and the challenges you’re facing—not to overwhelm you, but to build a clear, whole‑person picture of your needs. You can expect a conversation that is respectful and unhurried. I explain what I’m asking and why, so nothing feels confusing or rushed. We’ll talk about your goals, your preferences, and what a collaborative plan might look like moving forward. There’s no pressure to make big decisions right away; the focus is on creating a foundation of trust, clarity, and shared purpose.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out most in my work is the combination of clinical rigor and a calm, grounded presence. I take time to understand the whole person—the biological, psychological, and social factors shaping their experience—so clients feel seen in a way that is both comprehensive and respectful. I’m skilled at creating a space where people can speak openly, even about difficult or uncertain experiences. My communication is clear and steady, helping clients feel oriented and supported as we explore their concerns. I work collaboratively, ensuring that treatment decisions reflect each client’s values, goals, and pace. Another strength is my ability to navigate ambivalence, conflict, or complex emotional dynamics with patience and fairness. Whether someone is seeking clarity, stability, or meaningful change, I help them build insight and confidence while honoring their autonomy. Overall, my approach blends thoughtful assessment, cultural sensitivity, and a deep commitment to dignity—supporting clients in moving toward sustainable, meaningful growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with clients who are seeking a thoughtful, collaborative space to understand themselves more deeply and move toward meaningful change. Many of the people I serve are navigating stress, anxiety, mood concerns, life transitions, or patterns that feel hard to shift. Some come with a sense of ambivalence about treatment, while others are motivated but unsure where to begin. My ideal clients value clarity, respect, and open communication. They appreciate a provider who listens carefully, explores the biological, psychological, and social aspects of their experience, and works with them—not for them—to shape a plan that aligns with their values. Whether someone is looking to stabilize, gain insight, rebuild confidence, or develop healthier coping strategies, I’m most effective with individuals who want to be active participants in their care and who are open to a steady, collaborative process.

Motivational Interviewing

With Motivational Interviewing ,I respect a person’s autonomy and recognize that meaningful change comes from within, not from pressure or persuasion. My experience with MI has taught me that people move forward most effectively when they feel understood, not judged, and when their own reasons for change become clearer to them. What I’ve consistently found is that MI helps clients: • Clarify what they want for themselves • Explore mixed feelings without shame • Strengthen their own motivation rather than relying on external push • Move toward change at a pace that feels safe and sustainable. MI aligns with the way I practice: collaborative, respectful, and centered on the client’s values. It helps clients feel empowered rather than directed, and it supports long‑term, sustainable change rather than quick fixes.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Culturally sensitive therapy begins with the recognition that every person’s story is shaped by culture—family traditions, migration histories, language, spirituality, community expectations, experiences of discrimination, and the meanings people attach to identity. My experience with this approach has taught me that care becomes more effective and more respectful when these dimensions are not treated as background details but as central parts of a person’s lived reality.
