Hi, I’m Dr. Keisha Simpson, LCSW, DSW, and I’m here to help you get unstuck and move toward the life you want. I work with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or impacted by past experiences, and are ready for change—even if they’re not sure where to begin. In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll focus on building a connection and understanding your needs. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, background, and goals for therapy so I can get a full picture of how to best support you. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions, share what’s important to you, and get a feel for how I work. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and next steps.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Sometimes we get stuck in patterns that increase stress, anxiety, or sadness. Together, we’ll identify those patterns and work on replacing them with healthier, more helpful ways of thinking and responding.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which helps you learn practical skills to manage intense emotions, handle stress, and improve your relationships. It’s about finding balance—accepting where you are while also working toward positive change.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness-based therapy to help you slow down, stay present, and become more aware of your thoughts and emotions without feeling overwhelmed by them. It’s about learning how to respond to life instead of just reacting.

Racial trauma treatment

I help clients process and heal from racial trauma—the emotional impact of experiencing or witnessing racism, discrimination, or systemic injustice. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel seen, heard, and understood.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help you explore what you truly want and build the motivation to make meaningful changes in your life. It’s a supportive, non-judgmental approach that meets you where you are.
